Yom Kippur fasting while on Madopar?

Just wondering if anyone has advice for me, in first year of taking Madopar. I take 3 25/100 each day. Still early stage. Tonight/tomorrow is a 26 hour fast for the Yom Kippur Jewish holiday (yes, some holiday not eating or drinking!). In recent years, mainly because of getting older and being on some medication, I do have a drink and something very small like a piece of bread once or twice during that time. But now I am on Madopar, I'm not sure what to. Difficult when I have always observed this fast since being a teenager. Has anyone any advice on going without substantial food, but continuing the Madopar? Left it too late to contact the PD nurses/doc.

I don't think fasting will affect your meds. Food often interferes with them, so maybe they'll work better.

HI, you do not have to fast for Yom Kippur, if you have any condition which requires medication. Check with your Rabbi and you will find I am correct. It is your choice.
