Has anyone had eight months of treatment using Rituxan and Treanda (bendamustine)
Has anyone had eight months of treatment using Rituxan and Treanda (bendamustine) instead of the manufacture recommendation of six months? If yes, did you get longer remission time? History: CLL diagnosed in 2004. On W&W until October 2007. Treatment began using Leukkeran (chlorambucil) dexamethasone

Can Your Body Be Trained to Cure Its Own Cancer?

Imbruvica is on track to be a top seller for J&J and Pharmacyclics for years to come
Interesting insight into the revenues of the best selling cancer drugs in the USA. Many are familiar to us; Imbruvica of course and Revlimid (Lenalidomide), Rituxan (Rituximab/Mabthera) and perhaps Gleevec (Imatinib), the drug that did for CML what we are still looking for with CLL. http://www.fool.com

Can anyone confirm if Ibrutinib is now available on prescription in the UK?
I just received an email from a friend to suggest it is available. I’m to start 6 months of BR treatment on Monday 12th January, and would be so relieved if I can try a non-chemotherapy drug instead. Dear Healthcare Professional I am pleased to inform you that Janssen UK has been granted European Medicines

New approach could lead cancer cells down path of destruction
Cancer research has discovered that when double-strand break DNA damage occurs, in which both strands of the DNA double helix are severed, the cell can either attempt to repair the damage, which has a poor chance of success and may create a cancerous cell (or a more aggressive clone of an existing cancerous

Blood counts very poor, soon to start BR, and unsure whether to have jabs? (See later post)
Hi everyone, Thanks for all your responses to my post 3 weeks ago. The blood test results on 10th December were confusing to say the least - WBC had increased from 81.6 to 123.5 since the previous tests at the end of November, while neutrophils, HB and platelets were all improved. My consultant was

Bone marrow Abnormalities and APS
Hi Just wondering if there is a link between bone marrow abnormalities and APS? I had a bone marrow biopsy at my local hospital and it has shown abnormalities in mast cells, chromasomes . . . I have been referred to Kings for another biopsy for specialised testing. Does anyone else have bone marrow abnormalities
