Lupron

I am now almost over 5.5 years since my last Lupron injection and have had undetectable PSA for almost 7 years. My testosterone recovered to greater than 200 in late 2019. For 2.5 years testosterone continued to climb up to over 400 but then started to decline about 2 years ago.

On lupron since 2011, recurrance, SPLASH TRIAL, Provenge NOv 2023. Strarted on Taxatere (doxcetel) in March. My MO put me on an 18 infusion schedule (I believe 1/2 normal dose) because of my age, 84. I get infused ever week for 3 weeks, then 1 week off and continue for 28 infusions.

On Lupron from the beginning and Xtandi since Nov 2019. Hit Nadir of .21 in Dec 2022. Since then, PSA has been jumping around, but trending upward. End of 2023, it was at .67. Feb 2024, PSA up to .87. Yesterday, it was 1.16. Have Oncology appointment tomorrow. Time to talk what comes next.

He got a bilateral orchidectomy done as well, so no Lupron. I wanted to get recommendations for oncologists especially those dealing with Prostate cancer in Ontario, Canada. Please help. Thank you.

Radiation to my lymph nodes, and 24 months of Lupron and Erleada. Now I wait!!!!! yikes. Is there any way to kill Prostate Cancer stem cells? I have read a little about possible advances in killing cancer stem cells. What about prostate cancer stem cells.

Oncologist wants me to take Lupron ADT for 6 months during and after radiation treatment. I am really wondering how necessary the ADT is given my favorable intermediate risk factors given the PSA, MRI and Biopsy results?

I've never understood why MO's continue to prescribe Lupron ADT (or equivalent ) for men who are castrate-resistant (CRPC). Isn't that the definition of CRPC, namely, that ADT is no longer working for those men?

He takes the Zytiga at 9:30 am with the prednisone on an empty stomach and has 1 Lupron injection. He is unable to wake up until late afternoon and is always tired and we were wondering if the Zytiga had anything to do with his extreme lethargy or if it was the advanced disease itself.

I was then put on monthly injections of lupron, the psa was 25. Lupron dropped the psa to 10. I have been on lupron for 4 monthly injections. My PSA keeps rising, last psa test was 28 last month, guess I'm castrate resistant now.

PSA has been undetectable since completion 9/9/20 of image guided radiation to the prostate bed and lymph nodes with a 6 month Lupron shot 6/25/20. Prostatectomy was done 9/2015 Gleason 7 (3+4) Stage T2c, N0, MX.

Casodex/Lupron/39 Rounds Radiation. Presently on Lupron/Nubeqa PSA rising PSMA Scan Clear CT scan with Contrast today plus Fractionated Blood Biopsy. PSA 10.8 Waiting on CT results but Dr. Aggarwal wants to Stay the course with Lupron/Nubeqa if CT doesn’t show anything yet!

At today's appointment (9/24/24), they switched from Firmagon to Lupron injections. We discovered he has been mistakenly taking half the dosage of Darolutamide! He was supposed to be taking two pills twice a day and he was only taking one pill twice a day (so 600 mg total instead of 1200 mg).

Since then, I have been on IHT, compose of lupron injections-monthly as we KNOW that the effectiveness of Lupron over time, decreases-as common sense would preclude, the further from the date of injection, the more other factors can diminish its effectiveness, ie physical weights age, etc. all play a

I recognize that small movements of PSA at this low level do not mean much but I would be happier to see <0.01 I did 30 months of ADT using Lupron and Zytiga + prednisone and with Oligometastatic diagnosis my MO and RO both gave me a 40% of a "cure".

Currently on Zytiga, Lupron, Steroid, and Lyparza. 😞 Diagnosed in 2020 with tumor base of tongue (doctors said it was not related to PC) and aggressive prostate cancer at same time.

In Jan/Feb I rec'd 5 treatments of SBRT and have been on Lupron and Abiraterone/prednisone for the past 7 months. Just had labs done, and psa is at 0.1. The concern that I have is that my ALT and AST levels were elevated from what they were before I began ADT.

He is also doing Lupron and EBRT which will be over in 5 sessions (he had 5 weeks of them all together). Up until about 5 days ago, he was working and then going to Pilates once a week and to the gym, but now he is coming home EXHAUSTED from work and barely has the energy to exercise.

I followed that up with Casodex, Lupron, and radiation via Rapidarc. Jumping ahead a bit, I stayed on Lupron and Casodex (oh yeah, and Finisteride for a year or two), and that held me until 2018.

I have been on Lupron since June 2022. September 2023 Abiraterone and 5mg of prednisone was added. Psa was 19 in Sept and dropped to 1.26 as of Jan. 11 2024. Since going on Abi when I get a monthly Lupron shot I have trouble sleeping that first night and mild flu like symptoms the next day.

Tall_Allen, if you are around, I would especially appreciate your thoughts…….my husband, Dave is still on Lupron/Zytiga/Pred for M1a pc. only in a few abdominal nodes per PSMA scan. He just completed IMRT and was undetectable two weeks ago.
