DCIS, Lumpectomy and Rheumatoid Arthritis
I had a
lumpectomy
just under three months ago following a diagnosis of DCIS after a routine mammogram. It was barely detectable so although I don't feel particularly lucky, I know I was lucky to have it discovered early. The surgery was successful in removing the cancer with a clear margin.

Early breast cancer
How is recovery from the
lumpectomy
? They said I could be a day case, what's helpful afterwards? I'm also dreading coming off HRT.

Breast dimpling post Lumpectomy?
Anyone notice breast dimpling after
lumpectomy
? It has been 6 months after my surgery and Iβm seeing 2 distinct dimples showing in the surgery area. Iβm thinking it could be from the scar tissue?

Lymph node deposits (aka TD's)
Having been originally diagnosed with breast cancer in Feb 2019, after which I had a
lumpectomy
and 3 lymph nodes removed(the latter were clear), I have been back and forth for many ops due to recurrences including a radical mastectomy after recurrence within 2yrs, and then several different recurrences

Restarting meds after medical procedures π
Long story short - I had a
lumpectomy
(where my diagnosis changed from it's original 10 mm DCIS to 35 mm PLCIS) followed by radiotherapy.

Should I go back on 1 or 2 mg prednisone due to fatigue?
In February, due to a breast cancer diagnosis, l had a
lumpectomy
. There was no lymph node involvement and I have not had chemotherapy or radiation. I have had frequent blood tests and doctor visits and there is no recurrence of cancer.

Stopping meds before operation. π
I have been told to stop my meds because I have to have a
lumpectomy
on 8th May π I had to stop my Tocilizumab and Sulfasalazine 4 weeks before and my Metoject 2 weeks before. I also had to stop other meds too: HRT (for good) and statin.

Early Breast Cancer - Radiation Treatment
I'm about to embark on a 4 week radiation therapy after my
lumpectomy
. I'm not looking forward to it. I have a weak heart and ultra sensitive skin. The more I read about its long term side effects, the more hesitant I become. Any advice for me? Has anyone skipped radiation treatment?

Does this sound like Lymphoedema?
I was treated for triple negative breast cancer in 2019 and had a horrible time with chemo, a
lumpectomy
with SLNB, a second op to clear the rest of the lymph nodes, and finished with 4 weeks of radiotherapy ending in Jan '20.

A change of direction... PLCIS
As I posted a couple of months back - I can't believe it was that long ago - I had to stop all my Rheumatoid Arthritis meds to have a wire-guided
lumpectomy
for intermediate DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ). I am 3 weeks on from that now and recovering really well.

Revision to a pathology report in 10 days?
I had my
lumpectomy
in end of December and am recovering nicely. I got my pathology report about 8 days after my surgery was done which cleared me for everything β no cancer cells in the margins / lymph nodes.

A
lumpectomy
and radiotherapy. I also saw my heart surgeon today who says he is happy with my progress , considering the team thought my brain wouldn't survive the CABG. I have plenty to be positive about..! Naturally I'm upset but I'll rise to this new challenge! πͺπͺπͺπͺππππ
