Tamoxifen producing painful windy stomach?
Suffered cancer in breast,
lumpectomy
, and lymph node clearance a year later Taking tamoxifen for a month, changed over after a year of Letrozol as I kept looking at the alendronic acid and not taking it, and already had osteoporosis. I have painful indigestion and stuck sensation in stomach.

New cancer vaccine trial helped kill breast cancer cells in Mayo patient (October 10, 2019 news item)
She could go the traditional route of having a
lumpectomy
where the cancer cells are removed, a mastectomy where the breasts are removed, or she could join a clinical trial for a potentially life-saving vaccine that could prevent the cancer cells from coming back.

Anyone out there with recurrent non-metastatic breast cancer?
Had a
lumpectomy
, chemo (ACT) and 6 weeks of radiation. In March 2013, I found another lump in the same breast. Had a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction. In October 2013 found another lump in the same area! Had that lump removed.

Just three years ago, I had small stage 1 cancer followed by
lumpectomy
and radiation. All was done so it would not return. About six months ago, it was back and crazy. I'm now taking Ibrance and Anastrozole. It has been difficult, but fortunately, I'm tolerating the medication quite well.

Breast cancer history
I had a
lumpectomy
and radiation. 17 years later in 2017 it came back. (Both times in right breast) I had a double mastectomy and 8 cancerous lymph nodes removed. Stage 3. I had chemo and radiation. In August 2018, I had a biopsy on a lump in my lower spine (L4).

Coming off HRT symptoms
I've recently had a
lumpectomy
for early/pre breast cancer and have had to stop the very low dose HRT that I've been on for a number of years. My hot flushes and insomnia have been hard to deal with - does anyone know how long the symptoms last after finishing HRT? Thanks

Just started on letrozole
I’ve had a
lumpectomy
two weeks ago, no chemo will know if I’ve to have radiation when I see oncologist on 6/9, when I’ll hopefully get pathology results. I’ve started on letrozole on Friday so far no side effects but know it’s too early to tell.

Recall after 2nd annual mammogram
I had a
lumpectomy
for DCIS 2 years ago. This recall is the result of my second annual mammogram and is from the radiologist not the breast surgeon. I had 6 weeks of daily dressings after my
lumpectomy
as I had a large haematoma ( I'm on anticoagulants) which left a deep hole!

Inverted nipple
Hi folks, I had my
lumpectomy
7 weeks ago due to see oncologist 2/9/19 for radiotherapy. Noticed nipple on affected breast really sunken in has any one else had this happen really concerned something has been missed and the cancer is still there 😩

Still on the roller coaster.
Having done more tests on the biopsy sample they found I also have another type of cancer - one which won't respond to Tamoxifen so now I'll be having a
lumpectomy
on the 9th Sept, followed by a different tablet treatment, then later - once the scars have healed there'll be three weeks of daily radiotherapy

Your thoughts - treatment plan
Unfortunately, in parallel, my wife will be undergoing a full mastectomy in one breast for DCIS (too much there to do a
lumpectomy
). Thankfully she tested negative for BRACA mutation so additional surgery is not under consideration. But we were diagnosed within days of each other.

Life's ups and downs
After four to six months, depending on how the lump responds I'll have either a
lumpectomy
or a mastectomy. So, fingers crossed! At the same time as all of this my house buyer has got cold feet so 'maybe' I've sold the house, and maybe not.

new DCIS
I have been given the option of
lumpectomy
with radiation and mastectomy. Both I need hormone therapy. I am pre menopausal. How did those in this same situation decide? How did you handle to anxiety of not knowing or wondering about it coming back? Any input is greatly appreciated!!!

Update on possible radiation on early SLL, and uh, yay for lymphoma?
It turned out to be Stage 0 breast cancer (DCIS), which is being treated now with
lumpectomy
and radiation.

Radiotherapy
Hi had a
lumpectomy
yesterday, the surgeon said I was borderline for radiotherapy. Please can you cross your fingers that I don’t need it. 💐🤞

Lumpectomy v therapeutic mammoplasty TNBC
Surgeon at 1st mentioned
lumpectomy
but also discussed therapeutic mammoplasty ... which he seemed to be more towards following my ultrasound. Seems that he can get bigger margins from the mammoplasty ?? And due to not shrinking completely may be better for some reconstruction.

Her2 positive .... Her2 negative?
I had a
lumpectomy
radiation and chemo and on letrozole. The second time it was on the other breast was her2 negative treated with a
lumpectomy
radiation and tamoxifen. Mets a couple years later. They preformed a biopsy on my spine and found out it was her2 negative.
