My journey
Given my age and family history of all cancers just a
lumpectomy
wasn't the proper action to take but instead a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction was better fitting. Feb. 2, 2017 my surgery was completed. I stayed in the hospital for 2 nights.

I'm new here.....
I had a
lumpectomy
, 5 weeks of radiation and 12 months of chemo . My last chemo treatment was approximately a year ago. All my six month check-ups in December were clean and I am very thankful for that.

Ache under breast and next to scar.
I had a
lumpectomy
followed 2 weeks later by complete lymph node clearance . I had Fec-T chemo 5 out of 6 due to the steroids affecting my eye sight. Followed by 4 weeks of radiotherapy which ended beginning of October. I am on herceptin and had 10 out of my 18 so far.

Please kindly help choose chemotherapy and location
Underwent
lumpectomy
and axillary clearance. Going to the next stage in the process - I am confused between the different chemotherapy options - primarily TCH (dr. Radheshyam, HCG, bangalore) vs. ACT-H (recommended by Dr vineet gupta, sakra, bangalore).

My journey
I had a
lumpectomy
on 10/3/16. I had a port implanted on 11/4/16 and my first TAC Infusion on 11/14/16. I am on day 18 of cycle 3 with 3 more to go. I'm halfway there!!! My best suggestion is that you get a support system behind you...family, friends, church, work.

Diagnosed June 2015...
I also never had a
lumpectomy
or mastectomy. Anyway, that is a brief summary of my diagnosis. I am hoping this plan will continue to work for me for a long, long time!

The lump is gone...
Morning ladies, had my
lumpectomy
yesterday.went smoothly. Awaiting report. Woke up this morning convinced I'd feel a little better now it's at least gone but instead I feel a bit teary. Maybe it's the after effects, I don't know.

Post-Chemo Fatigue
Hi all, I was diagnosed for second time- had breast cancer DCIS in 2006 w/
lumpectomy
& radiation. Then in 2015 (1-1/2 years into retirement), I was diagnosed w/breast cancer in other breast. Since I have a positive genetic PALB1&2 & am triple negative, I had a bilateral mastectomy in July.

Awesome (Free) Breastforms!
They provide free breastforms to women who have had explant surgery,
lumpectomy
or mastectomy, or who have had developmental complications. All you have to do is fill out a simple form online. Mine arrived in the mail yesterday.

Bit of advice please ladies
I'm having a
lumpectomy
next week. They say that is enough followed by radiotherapy for three weeks. Are these plans usually accurate. I've had a mammogram, ultrasound, and a core biopsy. They say this is because the lump is small, hopefully stage one and possibly not reached my lymphs.

Triple Negative survival!!!!
I have had a
lumpectomy
, 4 rounds of Adiamycin, and 4 rounds of Cytoxan/Taxol, double mastectomy, and 33 rounds of radiation. They found out before I started chemo that my cancer was metastatic in three of my lymph nodes, but they were not under my arms.

Hi! Lobular BC with bone mets....
I had a
lumpectomy
which showed one positive sentinel node. It was felt that I didn't need chemo but had 33 rounds of radiation. I was put on Arimidex for 1 1/2 years. I'm ER+, Progesterone -, and Her2-.

Recent DCIS in NYC
Had a
lumpectomy
6 weeks ago with clean margins. Radiation has been recommended to prevent a recurrence. I am very concerned about radiation to my heart as I am in my 60s and have a family history of heart disease.
