Lopressor

persistent a fib on lopressor. 50 twice a day increased problems with balance and walking any comments

Trying to wean off Lopressor and Dig introduced about a week ago When weaning off Lopressor do not feel great. Anyone experienced this? Persistent permanent afib. Yes my Doctor is involved.

Can I start Digoxin while still weaning off of Lopressor? Doc said stop lopressor and start dig no weaning needed I am a little nervous after all I read Thanks for Comments

Started on Digoxin .25 daily for past six days and cut Lopressor down to 25 twice a day. Am going to try to wean off. HR 80-110. Generally do not feel well and am going to revisit ablation. I had blurring of vision and dizziness on higher doses of Lopressor alone.

Now on Eliquis and switched to Digoxin .25mgm a month ago with Lopressor 25mgm/25mgm and trying to wean off Lopressor. Before I started Digoxin and was on Lopressor 100mgm/50mg got blurred vision etc. When I started Digoxin Dr. said stop Lopressor completely.

Any alternative to Lopressor??? Titrating to control heart rate 100mgm twice a day too much which is my Cardiologists goal 100mgm in am and 50mgm in pm too much. 50 in am and 50 in pm not enough. Was fine on 25/25 but that was when I was in NSR after cardioversion for two years.

On Digoxin, Lopressor, Eliquis. Any thoughts etc.

Is anyone on Digoxin plus Lopressor long term for chronic persistent afib and how do you feel? Thanks

Stopped digoxin this am and starting back on lopressor. bad heartburn and nausea just kept getting worse. Lots of hydrating and will explore ablation. Really felt sick on digoxin. Although don't feel generally great this was really not a good experience.

or go back on Lopressor which had its own side effects. Many say it will get better. Permanent persistent afib.

Lopressor increased from 25 to 100 am and 50 pm. Also on Eliquis. Vision is blurred and very unsteady gait. Hr around 100-115 (was 60 when in NSR) Can I cut back on Lopressor and see if symptoms go away or will it make my HR race up again. Would appreciate any help..

Permanent afib 100mgm of Lopressor am & 50 pm plus eliquis. Decided to cut back to 50 in am because of blurred vision and now have had upset stomach times 1 week plus HR back up to low 100's. Thought I felt better on lower dose but maybe not??

Managing just OK on Lopressor and eliquis. Far from perfect. Thanks to all for the responses.

Taken off Multaq and on Lopressor 100 am & pm plus eliquis. Told ablation would more than likely not be successful. Should I get a second opinion. Do not feel that great when I am in afib

I'm taking Lopressor 200 mg for High BP... have SPMS and my Dr is recommending Mayzent... Any ideas since this med is suppose to cause High BP,

I'm on lipitor, lopressor and eliquis for the foreseeable future. If I don't have any AFIB episodes or if I do and my heart doesn't race, I'll come off the beta blocker. Also, once I get my cholesterol below 100 I'll come off that also. I wasn't very high so I'll keep it down with diet.

After taking Lopressor (which made me ill) I developed extreme swelling in hands, feet and waist. Thinking I had relapse, went back to my cardio doc. Finding nothing wrong, he sent me to a rheumatologist. Rheum.doc ran tests for scleroderma and lupus. Nothing conclusive. Gave me Lasix for swelling.

So I was and still am on Xarelto but he changed me to flecainide 25 mg twice a day and metoprol ( lopressor) 50 mg.....I felt awesome for almost two months...then I started having the worse case of vertigo (GP) was pretty sure it was the metoprolol. Back to Cardiologist.

then I went to hospital I stay 4 days I took angoron medic but nothing then I took rythmacom pills 2 and after 4 hours other 2 then I was ok , they told me for 3 months I must took lopressor 1/2 pill morning and night and pradaxa.
