Joe O'Connell asked "what is oxy dhq ?"
Beware of those who cite Otto Warburg in their opening sentence. Oops! Warburg (1883-1970) was awarded a Nobel Prize in 1931. He believed that cancer was caused by "the replacement of the respiration of oxygen in normal body cells by a fermentation of sugar." [Wiki] This is paraphrased across cancer

GTN spray
Does anyone know if it's a "normal" reaction for heart rate to increase (from 96 to 150) after the GTN spray on the Tilt Table Test? My blood pressure remained the same but I could feel my heart getting faster and I became all hot and sweaty although I did not blackout.

Endoscopy and Angiogram
Hi . I hope everyone is keeping warm . I had an angiogram recently and it came back saying I had a breathing artefact but otherwise ok. But am now being sent for an echocardiogram to ensure I don't have Scleroderma induced Pulmonary Hypertension. Had a Gastro endoscopy yesterday which says I have reflux

Heart Arterial Spasms
Just had a diagnosis after asking consultant cardiologist by letter why I had pressure on my chest and why my angiogram only showed 30%/40% narrowing of the left descending coronary artery which at the time I was told that it wasn't serious enough to warrant any operations and most people my age (53)

Consultant changes his mind again!
Well had another appointment with the Lung specialist again. Started with the usual weigh-in BP and Finger O2 it lit up at 95% so she writes it down but then it started to drop down to 92%. Then says It is my first day on here! So I said "It is usual to let the O2 monitor settle down for a few seconds

I'm desperate for help!
Ive had systemic scleroderma, RA and Raynauds etc. for 14 years. One of my fingers has been numb and purple from the knuckle to the tip of my finger for 5 days! I'm in severe pain like a rubber band has been on my finger for 5 days. It's getting harder for me to move my finger and it's always cold literally

W1R1 completed - almost!
I managed it all except for 10-15 seconds at the end of the 7th minute run. A little disappointed, but I only slept for 3.5 hours last night, which probably didn't help. It was quite the struggle, and I even made my husband run with me carrying nitroglycerine spray & an aspirin in case I had a heart

16 days in hospital still wondering what is wrong.
I went for my exercise test which was stopped after 2 minutes as my BP had dropped to 88. Chest tightness and arm pain began which did not lessen with the use of a GTN spray. So I was admitted to Coronary care and subsequently to a cardiology ward where I stayed for 16 days for monitoring and investigation
