Left lobectomy
I'm sat here in hospital recovering from a lower left
lobectomy
. Had full thoracic surgery. Apart fromthe usual it seems as though my lung is leaking around the staples. The consultant says this is normal but they can't take my drain out until it stops leaking.

Still so very confused
Initially told 1 cyst, 1 nodule and
lobectomy
likely for cyst. Later transpired the surgeon had āmisreadā scan and both are nodules. Advised NFA and see him again in 6 months. He said none of my symptoms are thyroid related. Iāve had a tight uncomfortable throat on and off and get neck pain.

Is it back?
Had left lower
lobectomy
18 months ago. Had a CT Scan two weeks ago and the nodules in my right middle and right lower have grown. š. Still very small. 8mm and 5mm But they have grown. My consultant once told me if they grow chances are itās cancer in the right lung as in the left.

How should I feel after a lobectomy?
I had an upper right
lobectomy
6 months ago (Robot/VAT I believe itās called). Should I be feeling ānormalā now. Currently, I have pain below my breasts for which I take over-the-counter Percogesic. That works pretty well. And, my lungs donāt feel normal.

I had a

9 years ago and (foolishly) thought I would have no more problems as all my scans since surgery have been clear.

Lung cancer spread to bowel?
So: Dad had upper right
lobectomy

One day at a time.
It is now 17 months since my
lobectomy
and 11 months since the completion of my chemotherapy. Friends ask me if I think about the cancer and the answer is NO. So why am I here? Because I am worse off now than I was prior to surgery.
