To continue or not....that is the question
I started treatment in July 2021 after 18 months on W&W. Initially I was treated with Obinutuzumab but I had a severe reaction to the first 20mg and ended up in the A&E resuscitation ward. I was then swopped to Rituximab and Venetoclax, which was explained as normally being a second line treatment which

Delusions/Hallucinarions
I became very sick 5 years ago with all the symptoms of PA but was undiagnosed. I got to the point where I started having delusions of parasitosis and hallucinations. Has anyone else experienced delusions or halluconations? I'm afraid my brain may have been permanently damaged?

Moorefields Consultant
I had an appointment at Moorefields on the 14th February this year and my Consultant said i had pernicious anemia and that my GP was to give me B12 injections - well she will not do it - this is the third time in eighteen months that she has refused what the consultants say and they even send her letters

A Good Day
Saw my new consultant today & my new liver nurse & they were both fantastic. He explained everything clearly to me. He is trying me on Budesonide 9mg a day which is a corticosteroid & stays in the liver longer than pred. I didnt fancy using 6MP after the nightmare I had with Azathioprine. There was

Feeding tube leak? Is this common?
We were informed on Monday, that dad's feeding tube was leaking in his lungs, he has now developed infection, pneumonia, fever, ventilation back to 100%, peep 10, heart rate 140... this is after they told us he's clear from covid-19 pounds and the virus all together. Anyone experienced this? Trying

Waiting for blood and ultrasound results, suspected cirrhosis and portal hypertension
Had bloods taken February and Ultrasound March and am awaiting results. I gave up alcohol in February which I haven't found too difficult. The sonographer told me quite a bit, apparently pancreas, kidneys, spleen and gall bladder seem to be okay. There is some scarring on my liver but he said he'd seen

Call out to liver cancer patients who have received SIRT
The British Liver Trust is currently campaigning on behalf of liver cancer patients – specifically we want to improve access to minimally invasive cancer therapies. We are keen to hear from patients who have received selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT) who would be willing to tell their story

Rejected for liver transplant
This morning my partner was advised by the Royal free liver transplant assessment unit that he had been rejected for a liver transplant. This was on the basis of false information. The drug and alcohol nurse had advised that he was unwilling to allow RF to access his data from the drug and alcohol support

My husband has a bad rash
Hi everyone I haven't posted for a while but always read others. My husband (64) had NASH cirrhosis and had a liver transplant in 2017, when they also found he had cancer of the liver. His new liver now has fatty deposits as his Diabetes seems out of control. He is trying a new diet and hopefully

Options for PBC Itch?
Hello, I have had PBC for years with progressive itch. I am an "incomplete" responder to Urso and Ocaliva (on both). I take Cholestyramine but in the past year the itching has gotten significantly worse where I scratch all night, am scaring up my arms and legs and tear the dead dry skin off the soles

Husband recently diagnosed with decompensated cirrosis of the liver
Hi, Im new to this forum, and hoping for some support as I feel a little lost! My husband was admitted to hospital at the beginning of December 2021 with gross asceties and jaundice. It was a battle to get him to even see a Dr and I had to lock him in the house and force him to get help, as he was dying

Has anyone had a HIDA scan on their gallbladder?
Hi there, I had a HIDA scan on my gallbladder on Monday. They give you an injection of radioactive dye and scan you for an hour. Apparently you pee and poop that out. Then they give you a really fatty milkshake to stimulate the gallbladder and continue the scan for another hour. I was fully expecting
