T3 replaced by Liothyronine sodium
Hi, I have been Levothyroxine and
Liothyronine
for over 20 years. In April this year my doctor withdrew the
Liothyronine
- without notification or consultation.

Hi has anyone been prescribed
liothyronine
from TEVA I've been given this instead of my original from Concordia. I'm feeling quite ill tired, no energy and swearing awefully. Has anyone had this ? If so what t3 have you tried that has helped?

Joint Group Meeting at House of Commons with Lord Hunt
It was agreed that we would all work on a document with evidence for Lord O'Shaughnessy regarding CCGs not adhering to NHS England guidance on
liothyronine
. It was very good to meet up with people we have been working with and to meet them all.

Pathophysiological relevance of deiodinase polymorphism
This could explain why certain groups of levothyroxine-treated hypothyroid patients have improved quality of life when also treated with
liothyronine
(LT3). Furthermore, Ala92-D2 was abnormally found in the Golgi apparatus, what could constitute a disease mechanism independent of T3 signaling.

TSH. .48 (.45-4.5) Free T4 1.53 (.82-1.77) Free T3 2.7 (2.0-4.4) I was told by the nurse “He does not prescribe T3” 😮 I went to my PCP and she gave me 5mcg
liothyronine
. I had been taking my synthroid at night but switched to morning at 6am with half of the T3.

T3 supplier please??
In the presence of a normal thyroid stimulating hormone level (TSH), and normal free T3 level it would not surprise me to learn you are taking
liothyronine
(T3) instead of levothyroxine - is this the case?

T3 Prescription Question
I have a private prescription for T3 which simply states "
Liothyronine
25mcg daily x six months". However, the Thybon Henning is for 20mcg - will this cause me a problem with them fulfilling the prescription? I don't want to post the prescription to them if they won't administer it.

T3 Advice
I dropped Levo from 100 down to 75mg ( cutting tablets with a pill cutter) and am taking 10mg
Liothyronine
( also using a pill cutter) I think I am feeling a little better although still not great and have days when I am exhausted - which can last a week sometimes.

She has been on levothyroxine 50mcg and
liothyronine
5mcg. She has been able to get the doctor to prescribe her levothyroxine but not her
liothyronine
(something I've become aware others struggle with since looking through the forum!).

Heavy Periods
I told him I had recently started taking
liothyronine
and hoping this will help my periods. Unlikely he said..... Just googled it and hypothyroidism can affect periods. My periods have always been heavy and I think I’ve always had an underactive thyroid looking back at my energy levels.

Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI)
I’ve been on 100mcg Thyroxine and 20mcg of
Liothyronine
since first diagnosed in 2001. I was referred to BRI in 2014 as local CCG red listed
Liothyronine
and GP no longer able to prescribe it.

Can someone help me source Liothyronine?
I’ve been diagnosed with hypothyroidism for over 8 years. I have only ever taken Levothyroxine and never felt better. I’m at a point where I feel worse than I ever have. Recent visits to my GP proved futile as they are not even willing to even test T3 as the NHS are not prepared to prescribe it. All

ADVISE PLEASE LAB RESULTS AND T3 prescriptions finally.
I did not leave the office without a script for cytomel/
liothyronine
sod 5mcg to start. I will retest in six weeks. Do you take these at the same time? I’m praying this makes a difference. I am continuing on 100mcg of levothyroxine too.

High T4 low T3
High T4, low T3, seems I need some T3 added but only got the T3
liothyronine
at 5 MCG every 12 hrs and T3 down from 88 to 75 MCG. Endo's here (U.S.) are very stingy with T3 for no reason I can figure and won't do a reverse T3 period. Anybody have a similar experience.

My doctor has said that I would benefit from
liothyronine
, but that there are no GPs in my area willing or able to prescribe it and suggested (off the record) that I should try to source it myself. My problem is from where...!!
