Where to get NDT
I’ve been struggling with the levothyroxine/
liothyronine
combination dose for quite a while, I have ups and downs and can’t seem to arrive to a dose that is ok for me. Also, given that I no longer have a thyroid, I wonder what I’m missing, so would like to try NDT.

Mayne or Sun brand liothyronine
I am wondering if anyone has experience with either of these generic brands of cytomel? I realize everyone responds differently to different brands. I've always responded best to cynomel from Mexico, but can't really afford to pay out of pocket at the moment. So these are my options through my insurance

Antonio Bianco's recommendation for T3 dosage
I'd like to use it to bolster my chances of getting a small increase of
liothyronine
. I currently take 40mcg. Thanks!

Developing Oral LT3 Therapy for Heart Failure - HFpEF (DOT3HF-HFpEF)
[/i] https://beta.clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT04111536 Thought it might be interesting in the first place for those warned off
liothyronine
due to its impact on the heart! The study is not complete and reported, hence only of passing interest.

Experiment to switch from Metavive to levothyroxine
See if she will start a trial of
liothyronine
or refer me to an endo to do this [but I think Chichester endos are not so helpful or resistant in prescribing T3 but perhaps now the price has come down they might]. 3. Go back to Metavive which gave me a lot more energy.

I had a total thyroidectomy 11 years ago and I’m on 175 levothyroxine and 60
liothyronine
but I feel bad and looked at my bloods and they look low on T3 considering how much I take….. what do you think?

Liothyronine brands
Does anyone find they have a preference for a specific brand of
liothyronine
? I’m wondering why I am feeling less well after a recent brand change. ( It could be a complete coincidence. ) Currently I seem to be stuck with what I’m given, and beggars can’t be choosers!

Losing Lupus diagnosis
Against doctors advice I decreased thyroxine, and introduced
liothyronine
, known colloquially as T3. Eventually I dropped the thyroxine completely, and increased T3 up to 70 mcg a day. At this point aged 68 I felt well. Not skipping and jumping well, but okay.

liothyronine supply
I have been on
liothyronine
for 10 years now following a thyroidectomy due to Graves’ disease. My local health trust are happy to prescribe this medication for me - but currently are unable to source a supply. Is anyone else in this situation?

Is taking 5mcg T3 in the morning then 2.5mcg in the evening sustainable long term. Do others dose differently morning and evening?
I saw my GP about another issue and mentioned that my Levothyroxine prescription needed reduced to 75mcg daily and also advised I was going to reduce
Liothyronine
. He offered to gave me a prescription for 2.5
Liothyronine
and I was ecstatic.

Antibiotics and T3/T4
On 125 mg levothyroxine and 10mg
liothyronine
daily. I’ve been on antibiotics for a week now. Will these affect my uptake of the thyroid meds? Thank you!

T3 prescription from GP
She has now left and her replacement (not new to the surgery) has texted me to say “
Liothyronine
is a tablet which can only be prescribed by your endocrinologist. If you are running out you need to get I touch with them”. I’m sure she is talking nonsense, but I’m not sure how to tackle this.
