Antibiotic therapy. Now I have severe insomnia
My current dose of thyroid medication is: 1) Levothyroxine 100mcg daily in the morning 2)
Liothyronine
12.5mcg in the morning and afternoon I'm skipping the afternoon T3 dose for a couple of days to see if that will correct the problem. As I type this message, I'm unable to sleep.

Liothyronine sodium v Liothyronine hydrochloride?
Hello, My private endo has just prescribed Thybon Henning 20 which is the hydrochloride formulation of T3 as opposed to sodium. Is it ok to change formulations like this please?

Price of Liothyronine
I recall that a few years ago many patients were refused
Liothyronine
because of its massive price rise. I just came across a Tribunal decision where the pharma companies were fined for the increase and they appealed.

The consultant is prescribing 75mcg Levo and 10 mcg
Liothyronine
. She said it would be fine to start on new doses straight away. It makes me feel a bit nervous. Is it okay to do a straight swap? Have others done it smoothly? I really can’t afford to be having absences from work.

Hypothyroidism and levothyroxine treatment only inadequate?
It cannot be that rare if so many on here are not tolerating levothyroxine only, and many are self-medicating with
liothyronine
or NDT. Please tell me if she is ill informed, like most of the medical profession regarding hypothyroidism treatment. Any thoughts please?

Followed advice here, now need help with understanding results
I take 50 mcg Synthroid around 6 am, 5 mcg
Liothyronine
around 7 am, and then wait an hour for a cappuccino, and 4 hours for vitamins. I finally had my doctor agree to trying me on T3, since he wouldn’t increase my T4, about 9 months ago.

First Private Blood Test
My brief history is that I have had hypothyroidism for about 23 years, and for most of the time since 2008 I have taken the same medication - 50mcg levothyroxine and 20mcg
liothyronine
sodium. I have always been very tired and cold, weight gain, brain fog, constipation, dry skin, hair loss etc.

Latest endo appointment. Will not increase T3 as TSH now low!!!!!
About 6 weeks ago, because of a change in make of
liothyronine
I made a mistake and instead of taking 2 x 10mcg tablets, I took 2 x 20mcg.When I realised, I anticipated the worst. However, I was fine, in fact more than fine. My prescribed dose was 30mcg daily.

Shoulder pain and stiffness
I am on 75mcg Levothyroxine and 10mcg
Liothyronine
daily. I am due to see my endocrinologist at the end of December so hopefully will discuss it with her. I have been having regular massages but nothing is really working. Has anyone else been experiencing these issues?

Increase levothyroxine or add liothyronine
Results on 75 levothyroxine TSH 0.84(0.4-3.7) Ft3 3.6 (3.5-6.5)Ft4 14 (12-22) Would you increase levo to 87,5 or add 5 mcg
liothyronine
? Which would make most difference to TSH do you think 5 mcg T3 or 12.5 T4?

Can anyone make sense of these blood results?
I have been hypothyroid for 4 years, and until now have been happy on a stable dose of 75mg levothyroxine and 20mg
liothyronine
. In March of this year, I suffered an awful episode of severe hyperthyroid symptoms and had to temporarily stop all thyroid meds.

GP note to Endo... I wonder how this will pan out... Update added
I can see in your last letter, you recommended Levothyroxine 100mg daily and
Liothyronine
10mg in the morning and 5mg in the evening. Her TSH remains suppressed at less than 0.05 and I would be grateful for your advice about amending her medications.

Endo appointment and liothyronine
Hello all, My endocrinologist appointment is coming up soon. I have had the blood test, but typical NHS they only test TSH.
