Special prescription for Liothyronine?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced and conquered this problem. I have Morningside 20 mcg Liothyronine as a named medicine on my prescription. After supplying this for nearly two years via online prescription ordering, my pharmacy is now asking me to get a green script marked by the GP

Update on Endo and WLAMS
Re the Endo who was determined to take away my T3 whilst all I wanted was a blood test to include T3. After an exchange of letters, he phoned this morning. He had back pedalled so far he was out of site. He agreed T3 was vital, he agreed testing the full TSH, T4 and T3 were needed to make a positive

Collected Responses to Give more funding for thyroid research and patients after price hike Petition
The petition launched by Pete Taylor has received a response, and there have now been numerous posts referencing that. And replies on each of them. This it is getting spread and some will be missed, there will be much repetition, etc. For that reason, this new post is intended to collect everything

Hypothyroidism and levothyroxine treatment only inadequate?
It cannot be that rare if so many on here are not tolerating
levothyroxine
only, and many are self-medicating with
liothyronine
or NDT. Please tell me if she is ill informed, like most of the medical profession regarding hypothyroidism treatment. Any thoughts please?

Results of TSH Modification Experiment
I inquired last week about what effect I could produce on TSH within three days. I appreciate the expertise and wisdom I received. I had just seen an endocrinologist who wanted to cut back my NDT because my TSH was 0.027. You advised me to stick to my rights as a human being. The endocrinologist seemed

Liothyronine supply
Today I went to collect my meds from our local pharmacy, they said that the Mercury Pharma brand is no longer available, the company has closed. As they are going long winded change to a new company themselves (previously Lloyds) I thought it sensible to do my own research. I have had Liothyronine

Too much T3? One time. Does it make a difference?
Because of a change of dosage of liothyronine from 10 mcg 2 x daily plus 10mcg 1 x daily Mon, Wed, and Fri, To 20mcg 1 x daily and 10mcg 1 x daily, I was given a completely different brand. Originally given Roma capsules, then following dosage change, Mercury Pharma tablets as well as Roma capsules

The use of thyroid hormone liothyronine in patients with heart failure - Another Pearce-linked Trial
Fascinating seeing these words in the context of a medical trial:
The use of thyroid hormone liothyronine in patients with heart failure
Liothyronine (T3) is a safe tablet and has few side effects because it is a synthetic version of triiodothyronine, a naturally occurring hormone

GP note to Endo... I wonder how this will pan out... Update added
I can see in your last letter, you recommended
Levothyroxine
100mg daily and
Liothyronine
10mg in the morning and 5mg in the evening. Her TSH remains suppressed at less than 0.05 and I would be grateful for your advice about amending her medications.

Online pharmacy for private prescription
I have a prescription for liothyronine and the pharmacy I got it last time (chemist4u) is no longer doing private prescriptions. I know I could get it from a pharmacy but they told me it would cost around £120, and I’m hoping online it would be cheaper. It’s for generic liothyronine, but it would ve

anyone help with article that states that it is not alright to prescribe different doses of Liothyronine on alternate days?
I am on T3 and Levo 75mcg. but I feel hypo since I was taken off 10mcg T3 daily and put onto T3 at 10mcg /5mcg on alternate days Has anyone a reference regarding this unorthodox prescribing of T3 in split different doses I can send to him to support my case against this splitting of the T3 like

Adrenal support - early days of T3
Hi I have recently started on Liothyronine - followed advice to start slowly and all seems to be going well. I am also on very regular B12 injections. I have a question about supporting adrenal glands. I had (may still have…) low morning cortisol, was given a Short Synacthen test which I passed but
