Any advice about weaning off of levodopa and starting amantadine.
I have developed dyskinesia and doctors tried reducing
levodopa
thinking I was getting too much but dyskinesia persisted.

How do you deal with central pain syndrome?
It sometimes runs from my brain to the bottom of my foot running on a straight line through my weak side reaching even my genitals (i know this is intimate but i think is relevant) it feels like an all body tooth sensitivity and yes
levodopa
seems to dull it a bit but the moment im off the pain is there

Q10 1200mg for PSP?
My mother in law was diagnosed PSP 1 year ago and she is not responsive to
Levodopa
med. Dr. says only option is management. I read about Q10 1200 mg recommended for PSP as adjunct treatment. Does anyone have experience with Q10? Her doctor said she has no experience with Q10.

Discovery of levodopa-induced dyskinesia-associated genes using genomic studies in patients and Drosophila behavioral analyses
Similar to the therapeutic effect of Ldopa in patients, acute Ldopa treatment restore the motor defect of Parkinsons flies, while prolonged treatments cause LID-related symptoms, such as increased yawing, freezing & abrupt acceleration of locomotives

Jelly loaded "nano gel" with mucuna? "Natural L-dopa, M. pruriens seed extract and prepared a nanogel containing extract incorporated into a jelly formulation for use as a "functional food" in elderly Parkinson's disease. Maybe for other PD meds too? https://twitter.com/MichaelOkun/status/1531274710591451138

Road block
Levodopa
has stopped working after only 3 months, I was only allowed minimum dose, so the much hated jerking has returned, plus the weird walking. No suggestion how to improve slow speech or loss of fine motor skills.

News that worried us and studies that gave us hope (04/2022).
By administering sustained-release vitamins B6, B9 and B12, it would be possible for glutathione and vitamin B6 to be administered without interfering with
levodopa
(Lewis 2002).

I'm impressed that researchers can keep a dangerous drug like
levodopa
as the leading treatment for Parkinson's for so long!!!

Titrating down on Sinemet experience
I wasn't sure if those bouts of stiffness were too much, or not enough
Levodopa
. I was hoping it was too much..... I began titrating down ½ pill at a time for months noticing improvement when I took the equivalent of 2 pills per day rather than 3.

Current treatment is focused on mitigating the symptoms through the administration of
levodopa
, rather than on preventing dopaminergic neuronal damage.

The end of Parkinson's as we know it today. From the Levodopa era to the "transformative" information era.

The changes over time in the way the disease is viewed, the possible treatments and everything that makes up the world of Parkinson's (multinationals, neurologists, associations
