micro Chinese osmotherapy + stem cells
in 2016 I had an acute kidney failure. I went to Shijiazhuang hospital for kidneys diseases. The damage in my kidneys was in early stage but I had pain in there. The hospital treat me with osmotherapy to clean my blood of toxins and a three groups of stem cells infusion during 20 days. After six months

Anyone read much about Thyroid and Alzheimer's connection?
Found a few papers which suggest they are linked and I wondered what the treatment is for Alzheimer's? Brother just been diagnosed but I know his fT3 is low and he doesn't convert T4 well

elevated liver enzymes for 10 years no answers
I’ve had up and down liver enzymes for 10 years since having my first child. I have 3 children now. I’ve had scans and yearly blood work. I’ve had autoimmune blood work as well as hep a b c ran. Everything comes back ok. No fat seen in the ultrasound as of yet. Idk 🤷🏻♀️ I’m about 10 lbs overweight

radiation question, possible kidney stones.
my husband had SBRT (prostate, few spots on spine, and one rib) in August and November 2023 with no side effects. He recently had lab work and It showed blood in urine, high protein, and crystals. He had an ultrasound to rule out kidney stones and it showed nothing so he is now scheduled for a Uro CT

Incontinence - A major problem
I have had Parkinson's since the spring of 2014. I had my first major fall (any fall that requires a trip to the ER) in Oct. of 2018, and I have gone downhill since that night. The Parkinson's symptom that's keeping me from leading a normal life is a freezing gait, although I do have overall tightness

After Pluvicto #6 results
Finished my 6th and final Pluvicto and am now getting lab results. I see that somehow I neglected to put results after #5 -- may have been distracted by doctors freaking out that my kidney function was going down and my calcium shot up. My nuclear medicine doc made a judgement call to give me a full

How Long To Discontinue 5-ARIs and/or Select Supplements to "Unmask" PSA?
Disregarding the discussion as whether to temporarily discontinue or not discontinue in fht efirst place... Purportedly some substances may "mask" PSA. I believe the general rule of thumb is on 5-ARIs like Avodart (Dutasteride) you are supposed to double the PSA reading to get the "real" PSA? In addition

Chronic Liver Disease Post Transplant
Hi, I had a liver transplant in October 2017 and apart from a little set back right at the beginning, meaning I was in Addenbrookes for 5 weeks, I have been really well. I haven’t even had Covid! However a couple of months ago, I had a CT scan which showed that I have chronic liver disease. To say

some suggestions - PCa websites?
Hey all: As I’ve mentioned before, I’m doing a comic about this experience. I want to have a short section at the end with websites that are good for learning about prostate cancer. I have room for a few more, and am looking for suggestions. Not an exhaustive list, but hoping for a useful list: Thanks

nose bleed
was rushed to hospital 2weeks ago for pneumonia. Was discharged after a week. Wasn’t home 24 hrs. And out of the blue my nose started bleeding. It hasn’t stopped. Has this happened to anyone else and what did the doctors do to stop it?

1st transplant done in trial of Parkinson’s cell therapy ANPD001
This experimental therapy for Parkinson’s uses a type of stem cell called an induced pluripotent stem cell, or iPSC, which is able to generate nearly any type of cell in the body — including dopamine-producing neurons. Its manufacturing is a three-step process. https://parkinsonsnewstoday.com/news

When were you going to mention I had early CKD? Oh I see, stage II isn’t anything to worry my little head about 😠
As my profile name implies, I have spent 20+ years in the healthcare industry. It took longer than I’d like to admit to awakening to how broken, corrupted and frankly dangerous this “Healthcare Industrial Complex” is. I recently had my annual exam with a PCP that I have always had great respect for

Are bone and CT scans required quarterly if PSA and testosterone are basically zero and no symptoms?
I have stage IV prostate cancer with a spot on my lung being the only known spread of my cancer. After my chemo regimen, my CT and bone scans have been clean for a year now. And my blood work is perfect at the moment. I am on Zytiga and getting a Lupron shot quarterly. My doc still wants

A question for anyone who built a red light therapy helmet/hat.
Hello. I’m interested in building a red light therapy hat. But I’m having trouble finding a source for 670nm and 810nm led strips. I was wondering if anyone who has built a hat using these specific wavelengths could share a link to where they purchased them. Thank you.

Blood test results
Hi, three weeks ago I had a Fibroscan in a mobile community testing van, the result was a reading of 15.1. The nurse suggested cirrhosis of the liver and said a referral for a CT scan was appropriate. I hadn't heard anything for two weeks, as you can imagine, I was beside myself with worry, I phoned
