Are you on Sinemet? Is it worth the side effects?
Seems that a lot of PWPs on this site report side effects.

Anybody experience pain when making a fist?
Hello everybody. After a few weeks making little comments here and there, I am ready to post a question that is very important to me. First, however, the clinical snapshot; skip if you are sick of reading these accounts. History and treatment: My first unequivical symptom (micrografia) showed

Requip side effects?
The Dr. added Requip to perhaps bring my ability to write back. It's in addition to Sinemet (2 tab 3x day). He's not willing to raise the sinemet - I have a long way to go- Here's the problem: Requip has been very helpful; I am writing much better - a I'm a teacher and accommodations are OK, but I

The Dark Years (warning my blogs are not all full of cheer&hope)
I don't know why I write these blogs. I guess it more of a therapy for me to vent my feelings. Parkinson's, I hate that word. I read a lot of hopes for cure, great attitudes and I don't want to bring any one down ..So if you don't want to read a non-positive blog don"t read this. I am here to tell

I rarely go out, this because I get panicky when the Sinemet goes out my system, and I’m in public. I hated when ppl stared, or when I’m in the

Fox FactorNot a big fan Micheal J Fox
I am sure I am going to catch hell for this but I need to get it out. I am not a big fan of the way Micheal J Fox goes around to all these talk shows without taking his meds and twitching around. Then I see him on tv HBO's Curb your Whatever or the red carpet not nearly as bad as he was on Regis and

Ok, so I am a PWP. The neurologist said "you have Parkinson's take these pills and I'll see you back in (3) months?!?!
I was diagnosed on the morning of April 10th of 2009, at the age of 52.. In February of 2009 I finally admitted that my symptoms were something to be addressed not written off as fatigue, stress or whatever reasons I had been using to that point. My symptoms were only on my left-side, a very slight intentional
