Keytruda has been started!
So on Friday I started my first infusion of
Keytruda
, I have a tumor burden or 34.2% which my MO said is one of the highest he’s seen. So it seems it will take 3-5 infusions to see if it’s working so the wait and see has started. I feel good about the treatment and hope for good results.

Anyone having success with Ketruda and how are side effects?
After we finished chemo we did another genetic test that looks like
Keytruda
is and option especially since my overall tumor burden was 34%. Any input would be helpful.

Update on elbow
Ryan got his infusion of
Keytruda
yesterday and his oncology team came over and checked out the elbow - they ordered a STAT x Ray to rule out fracture. Impression stated there was no fracture but his “fat pad” of his elbow was significantly swollen.

What is MSI?
The MSI test is used to determine whether
Keytruda
has a good chance of helping, or whether treating a patient with
Keytruda
would likely just waste time and add side effects without smacking down the cancer.

Decision needed
He would either get just the AMG 160 or AMG 160 with
Keytruda
(pembrolizumab.) I’ve heard of pretty severe side effects from AMG 160. Also, it involves hospitalization three times in the first month. But I’m also very enthusiastic about immuno therapy‘s as a treatment for cancer.

Keytruda update
Currently on Lupron and
keytruda
. A second Foundation One DNA test showed high mutational burden with mmr 2 and 6, cdk 12 and pten loss. As a result his MO started him on
keytruda
. After first infusion PSA went from 37 to 105. ALP dropped 50 points.

We went on our rounds of second opinions once again and ended up following the advice of our MD Anderson physician to try a marketed therapy - TVEK plus
Keytruda
. My son has had three doses and the tumor is visibly smaller.

Understanding the Abscopal Effect and its Potential Role in Developing a Cure for Cancer-Part 1
This treatment can be a combination of a check point inhibitor like
Keytruda
, Yervoy, etc. with or w/o radiation or cryotherapy as well as possibly an infusion of an immune stimulator like GM-CSF or radiation therapy alone.

Update on PROMPT trial
After 3 infusions Pembrolizamab (
Keytruda
) my scan has not shown any improvement anywhere so I have been taken off the trial. I am expecting to be put back on Chemo but for now, I’m enjoying a break from it all. Gilly x

And there is better news for the company with a nemvaleukin/

combination. Note the cohort sizes are very tiny in the report: https://www.evaluate.com/vantage/articles/events/conferences/asco-2021-alkermess-disappointment-hones-melanoma-niche-focus 4.

Keytruda, a question probably no one can answer.
He was given the choice to start chemo or do one more infusion of
Keytruda
. He chose the infusion of
keytruda
only because his ALP dropped 40 points and he doesn’t want to give up too soon. If PSA does not respond within these next two weeks, he will start chemo reluctantly.

What's next after my failure of ARV-110 trial
Next trial is possibly AC225 + Xtandi +
Keytruda
combo therapy. Trial effectiveness is clearly unknown, and could possibly make me too weak to handle chemo? I have been on more trials than on SOC treatments at this point. No chemo to date.

80% Shrinkage - Now the Plan - Radiate plus Keytruda?
Doc said we have three choices: Radiate, Radiate +
Keytruda
, or wait, continue on with ADT and see what the beast looks like in August. I am opting for the dual treatment, and not waiting. What all should I consider with this choice? Much appreciate your wise input.

Last Legs Keytruda(Pemberolizumab)
How many of my fellow Prostate cancer sufferers have had this drug prescribed. I have been on it for 6months and I dont think it is doing me any good a tall. I am on the point of cancelling treatment tomorrow when I visit my oncologist and just heading straight into palliative care which may include

Keytruda and Guillain Barre Syndrome
After various false starts, it has been confirmed that the Immunotherapy treatment with
Keytruda
has been the cause of my GBS event in January. I'm off immunotherapy forever now. Just learned today that my lung tumor has grown and is getting close to my airway.

On to Keytruda.....
Beltran thought he may be a good candidate for
Keytruda
. He had his first infusion last week. With a high mutational burden, some mismatch repair genes, MSH 2,3 and 6, CDK 12 and TP53 we are once again hopeful. 🙏🏻

Update on my dad, he continues on the above combo treatment. His PSA keeps decreasing and his liver tumors keep shrinking. Very hopeful, it’s now been a one year that his liver was invaded by the prostate cancer.

Has anyone with a BRCA2 mutation had
Keytruda
approved by Medicare for treatment of their prostate cancer? I found this article from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center very interesting. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/12/201201144034.htm
