Hi ladies. Not been on for a while but thought I may update you. After 3 infusions Pembrolizamab (Keytruda) my scan has not shown any improvement anywhere so I have been taken off the trial. I am expecting to be put back on Chemo but for now, I’m enjoying a break from it all. Gilly x
Update on PROMPT trial : Hi ladies. Not been on... - My Ovacome
Update on PROMPT trial
Oh that’s disappointing Gilly! Enjoy your break and I hope chemo does the job instead. I always have so much respect for those who go on trials because they help us all in the end…even if it’s the knowledge that the meds don’t always work xx
Hi Gilly. You’ve helped science by doing the trial but sadly it hasn’t helped you. Enjoy your break and build strength for the next treatment. Hugs.
I too am enjoying a break after Avastin failed to do it's job and me coming off trial.Oncologist appointment next week so hoping for 'plan B' to be put in place , whatever that may be. The break has brought a degree of normality back into my life which was much needed. Good luck with your future options. I am sure the right one is out there for us both. Xx
Hi.. did you do Avastin on its own? How long did you try it for? and the frequency? I’m trying to figure out my ‘plan b’!!
It was Standard 1st line treatment. I was in a control group on a trial which meant I had the same treatment I would have had if I weren't on a trial. That should have included 18 Avastin treatments. 6 of which given with Carboplatin. Was allergic to Paxitaxol during second treatment. ( I had lots of complications not directly related to the use of Avastin ) I got totreatment 11 and markers had continued rising all the way from having had debulking surgery. Of trial now and awaiting descion on options for 2nd line treatment. Had virtually no side affects while on 3 weekly Avastin other than constipation and fatigue which increased over time.
Sorry it hasnt worked as must be so disappointing. Would you mind if i asked if you were MSI (microsatellite instability high)?
I want to try Keytruda as I have clear cell OC. We’re you on Keytruda as a single drug or combination? and how often?
I was on a single dose every 3 weeks. Didn’t have any significant side effects. Shame it didn’t work for me. Maybe you will have better luck.
Disappointing lm sure. But enjoy your break and lets hope the chemo does the trick. God bless sending love & hugs SheilaFxxx
Sorry to hear, ah well, back to the tried and tested chemo treadmill! x
