Kesimpta and PML
I'm currently taking
Kesimpta
and was previously on Tysabri. The pamphlet for
Kesimpta
states PML could develop. My Doctor took me off Tysabri because my JCV number was almost 2. When I asked about it he stated no one on
Kesimpta
had developed PML. I wonder how they know it's a risk?

Kesimpta
So I've made the decision to start the
Kesimpta
and I'm going in for my 3rd weekly start up dose.So far, the side effects are very mild. Almost non existent. However, I'm continuing to have that blurred sensation coming and going between both eyes.

I have been on
Kesimpta

My Tysabri experience
When it jumped to 1.71 my Neurologist took me off and 2 months later I started
Kesimpta
. It's very easy and convenient to use the injection pen just once a month and it is mailed to my house. I did well on Tysabri and I'm doing well on
Kesimpta
I think.

Great News! Any Tips?
I'm rather nervous now that it is really going to be here, and I was wondering if anyone else who is on or has been on
Kesimpta
would let me know of any tips for when I take it? Like, did you take a Tylenol before you gave yourself an injection? Did it help?

This is a day of winning 💪
Promise I'm not proud of that 😅).For the MS, I was on copaxone, tried on tysabri (couldn't continue, high JCV titre), so back on copaxone until the 1st of my status epilepticus events, then ocrevus, and I'm now on
kesimpta
. I don't think the
kesimpta
is working well for me.

Symptoms & coping mechanism
Instead he wants me to just start the
Kesimpta
. I'm beginning to wonder if I have RLS and want to know if there are any coping mechanics to the uncomfortable sensations. So far, I've been managing with meditation, stretching and baths.

Gilenya
I don't know what to do about the insurance denying the
Kesimpta
other than doing what they want, trying Gilenya and seeing if I do okay on it or not. The whole reason I'm starting a DMT is to slow progression and I've read that Gilenya is not very good at that...

CD20 Therapies (Ocrevus, Kesimpta, etc.) and potentially serious dental problems
This was an interesting post on the MS-blog. You have to get past the Dustin Hoffman in Marathon Man reference (which was a memorable scene!) to get down to the nitty gritty of why dental hygiene and regular checkups are so critical when when you're on certain MS therapies. https://multiple-sclerosis-research.org

First MS Neuro Appointment!
I'm to start on
Kesimpta
soon. Anybody else out there on it? Or been on it? I'm just waiting for the insurance hoops to go through (I'm in the US) and then the nurse will contact me to set up a date to come show me how to do my injections.

This week has been rough! Introducing...
I had my
Kesimpta
yesterday... it's still giving me flu like symptoms, but I must admit, not as bad as the loading doses. I barely slept a wink last night and I've only managed a short nap or two so far today, and have a fever. I'm taking stuff for it, but it is making my body temp go haywire.

Been away for a bit...depression hit hard
Been on Avonex, Rebif, Copaxone, Tecfidera, Vumerity, and
Kesimpta
. Each drug had its pros and cons, some side effects were more bearable than others. The
Kesimpta
, which I hoped would work for me, made me very sick and I stopped after six months.

new symptoms
I started
Kesimpta
in June 2022. I guess 2 years is good. But I think I’m experiencing a relapse now. I have had left sided numbness, fatigue and my head feels like it has vibrations inside of it for several days. I have an appointment Thursday with my Neurologist.

In Need of Kesimpta Side Effects Info
Hello All, I could really use your input on your experiences with
Kesimpta
. If you stopped it because of side effects, please share. I have just finished six months on
Kesimpta
. I have been experiencing lots of muscle, joint, and bone pain (similar to my awful experiences with Prednisone).

Kesimpta question
I have just started
Kesimpta
and would very much appreciate any feedback from anyone who is taking it. Did my first shot last week and it was a doozie. Got hit with everything - sweats, chills, fever, muscle pain and weakness. I am wondering what others experienced when beginning this medication.
