Diet & Exercise on MS Symptom Severity & Results

Hi, I am a student in high school. My mom was diagnosed with MS and is doing well on Kesimpta and healthy diet and exercise. I am conducting a survey on the effects of diet and exercise on MS symptom severity for a school project. I would really appreciate it if you could spare five minutes of your time to complete this survey. I am looking for greater than 50 responses. Once the final results are in, I will post it here. I do believe this is an important area of research and not enough data is currently available. I really appreciate your help in advance.

Here is the link to the survey:

There is sufficient research around to show that with all chronic conditions a "healthy" diet and exercise lifestyle will be of benefit to overall health, and that improvements in overall health generally help with whatever chronic condition/s someone has. The problem with MS and diet is that there are plenty of so-called "MS diets" promoted all over the internet by self-appointed diet gurus claiming they have evidence that their particular diet will either "fix", "heal", or "overcome" MS but their evidence is very selectively chosen to support their diets.

A critical shortcoming of surveying people who are following any particular diet is that their views on whether it helps them or not are entirely subjective and not supported by any measurable criteria. This applies across the board for any such survey - regardless of what type of diet is being followed by survey respondents.

One of the key reasons that proper reliable scientific data on MS and diet is not terribly prolific is that doing research with diet and chronic health conditions is fraught with "danger" and difficulty, largely due to the inability of studies to control the wide ranges of variables involved adequately enough for any "results" to have any reliability. If you are doing this as part of a high school project or assignment, the problems associated with trying to conduct diet studies might be a more fruitful area of research for you.

Good luck with your survey - you'll get some responses, however, this forum is often the target of school students who want PwMS to provide them with information on some topic or other, so not sure how your survey will fare.
