Approved for Kesimpta after Ocrevous .......

Good morning to All....

My Neurologist has switched my Meds from Ocrevous to Kesimpta this week. I felt like Ocrevous was a miracle drug the 1st 2 years I was on it, but it started wearing off up to 3 months early. My Doc suggested once a month self-administered Kesimpta which I take my 1st dose today. I am very excited about it.

HAVE ANY OTHERS HAD THIS TYPE SITUATION

Hi! Good morning! I wish you lots of luck on the Kesimpta. I was on it, now the dr is trying to get me on Mavenclad. It is supposed to last 4 weeks. It never did for me it only lasted 3. Then it started to last only 2. So now I’ve been waiting 2 months with no medicine for the Mavenclad to get approved. I hope it happens fast! I hope the Kesimpta works great for you! Good luck with everything you do!

MSCoach50 i think alot of meds the body can get use to and loose effect. I think having a plan of anykind and watching the effects are beneficial. sharing is a part of that and i am thankful.

Im currently on Kesimpta it has me at a standstill right now with all my symptoms of MS. I’m wondering with my blood pressure & taking medication if it is causing me to pee more I’ve been in a horrible situation my apartment caught on fire & I’m living with my son whose house is not handicap accessible but I’m doing the best I can. Any suggestions? I’m in a wheelchair.

I switched from Briumvi to Kesimpta last month. I also switched due to what I believed was loss of effects of Briumvi after 3-4 months. I’m staying positive about Kesimpta. I really like not going in for infusions. I guess only time will tell

I made the switch to Kesimpta and I am so glad I did. On Ocrevus it was around month 5 I started to have a worsening of symptoms. In MS circles it’s informally known as the “crap gap” 😂

Hi  MSCoach50 , I am the oddball where I went about 3 weeks past when I was supposed to get my infusion and I never felt better! I have been on Ocrevus since 2018 and now I wonder if I can discontinue all DMT medications. I will certainly discuss that with my neurologist at my next appointment. Best of luck with Kesimpta! Keep Smiling :-D

Yeah, that’s why you’re odd 😂

(That’s a joke, I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings, it’s not meant to I don’t know you personally, but I think you’d find the humor, anyhow that’s the impression that I get.)

Great news, my Neurologist asked me to think about it? Let me know how you feel; I currently on Copaxone DMT over 10 years.
