Pickles says hello! He's about 13 years old and a Beagle/Corgi/? mix!
I've been a little on the melancholy side of late, and that tends to make me not reach out as much. But also have been so busy with appointments, and a tangled mess of insurances and such... I think I spent most of last week on the phone trying to get my Kesimpta worked out, with the wrong specialty pharmacy! But, got all that fixed finally, huzzah! I can't remember who suggested it to me, but Kesimpta runs me down for days, so someone suggested I block my schedule for the days I know I'm going to be having side effects. Why didn't I think of that? Went out and blocked my schedule and am going to reschedule everything that is during that timeframe!
AND... I finally had it with my neurologist. I see the NP, not the MD, and there have been so many missteps and things forgotten... I called and made an appointment with an MS neurologist yesterday. My usual neuro is booked over 3 months out, has no wait list, etc. The MS neuro's appointment lady apologized to me for the soonest appointment being in the later half of July. I was so happy.

I'll be happy to let you guys know about the MS neurologist! I'm really hoping that the one the person who booked the appointment picked out for me is a good fit!
I get migraines, and before having MS came out, had an awful neurologist that just wanted to keep prescribing me the same meds no matter what, so I started seeing my current neuro, and they immediately put me on a preventative. Made a huge difference in how many migraines I get and how long they last. Just wish they had gone ahead and done a brain MRI back then!
I hope you like your new Neuro after you meet them. Sometimes change is necessary. Glad you were able to get your med situation straightened out..dealing with pharmacies and insurance can be a real pain sometimes. Hopefully better days ahead! Keep us updated when you can!
Thank you! I just looked at my meds to pick up at my usual pharmacy and what do I see? They are trying to fill a prescription of Kesimpta for me! It's 'processing'! I tried to get them to stop it when I was at the pharmacy, but it is at the their specialty department, so I have to call them when it opens.
Pickles was in my bedroom, so I took out the background and added a background color that matched his bandana. He just started wearing bandanas, he never would wear them before, but loves them now!
Great to hear you have made progress with insurance and medications and a MS neuro! Dealing with all of that stuff is like a full time job sometimes. Hopefully everything is in place now & it's smooth sailing from this point.
Pickles is absolutely adorable… So glad to hear from you again!! Hopefully everything‘s gonna get straightened out soon and you’ll see your new doctor. Sending you hugs 🤗
