Hi Following on from a previous post regarding my broken nose following a blackout(coughing fit) I have now seen heart consultant after a few months of delay by hospital. I was sent for ECG stress test and Echocardiogram. At the stress test after 6 minutes I had some readings which indicated a problem

Meds gastritis and heart nerves 😩
Hello all, hope all are well! Back at hospital yesterday 8weeks after STEMI with odd sort of chest sharp pain that lasts seconds but horrendous indigestion like pains. ECG showing nothing other than historic STEMI and bloods troponin at 8! Docs think I maybe reacting to prasugrel and it’s causing gastritis

Palpitations, ectopic and fibrillations
Hi all, I am 54 years old and I had a HA 11 weeks ago. Stent fitted and put on usual meds, which included ticagrelor. Shortly after discharge I started to get palpitations, ectopic beats and fibrillations. I now get them on a daily basis and I can have up to 15 plus palpitations during a day. I am

Couple of questions please :)
Firstly, does anyone know if any of the heart meds cause ringing in the ears? I’ve just started an extra one this week, Trangina XL, kind of a slow release constant GTN, am wondering if it’s that? Also, does anyone have experience of ‘complicated angioplasty’ I have 2 narrowings on the LAD, one which

Echo showed strong heartbeat, pericardial scarring and fluid, and aortic valve scarring
Backstory: I'm a 'split-personality' lady Briton - born in the USA to British expat parents who divorced shortly after I was born - Mum returned to GB, Dad brought myself, my older brother and sister up in the US (Desert South-West, family cattle ranch). I spent my childhood half-half, back and forth

Hello
Hello I’m a heart attack survivor from May 2019. I woke up at 430 am feeling as though I had slept on my arm and felt unwell. Nothing major just felt yuk. I tossed and turned not getting comfortable and got up to go to the bathroom and was sick. (Thought it was a dodgy egg from dinner) couldn’t sleep

Heart attack 3 weeks ago and feeling confused. Need advice.
Hi everyone, I'm a 47 year old woman who had a heart attack 3 weeks ago. I was a 40 plus a day smoker, under extreme stress and overweight. I started to feel unwell in the evening so went to bed. I woke up at 2 minutes to midnight feeling dehydrated and rotten. Drinking water really stung my heart. Anyway

Tablet Dilemma - Isosorbide Mononitrate
I recently had a right coronary artery stent replaced due to blockage in the original. The ‘short of breath’ symptoms didn’t improve and a subsequent visit to GP revealed that aortic stenosis was noted on my last scan. Following the stent procedure my surgeon stopped me taking Isosorbide Mononitrate

GTN - 1st use, stopped angina pain but felt unwell for hours after - Normal?
I was given NitroLingual 400mg spray with a set of verbal instructions from the GP in late April. Got it home, read the package insert leaflet over three times then pinned it to the fridge. Carry it with me everywhere but didn't need it (Bisoprolol 1.25mg seems to be doing a very good job, and I'm tolerating

Heart Failure Medication
Hi just reading a letter from Cardiology on the results of the last Echocardiogram. This ( gentleman ) has known Ischaemic Cardiomyopathy and is being managed by our heart failure nurse. The current echocardiogram revealed an Ejection Fraction of 30 - 40 % with mild dilation of the Left Ventricle.

Couple of questions about isosorbide mononitrate modified release
As I understand it (from the NICE guidelines) you have to have a period of downtime from the effects of isosorbide mononitrate or else you can become intolerant to it. You should only take it once a day. I take 30mg each morning. But as it lasts only about 10 hours then there's a long time during the
