Tilt Table Test

Hi, I’m 64 and had a pacemaker fitted nearly 2 yrs ago as an emergency for complete heart block. I now have left ventricular systolic dysfunction and angina symptoms without blockages, so possible microvascular angina, and continue to struggle with breathlessness, heavy chest and pain down left arm on any exertion, along with intermittent episodes of suddenly feeling I’m going to pass out. I had a tilt table test this week as part of a series of tests ordered by a cardiologist I was referred to for a second opinion at a bigger hospital. Previous cardiologist had said I was a mystery! I’ve already had cardiac stress scans and have to wait about a month for an echo. Then I’ll have an appointment with him to discuss the findings. During the tilt table test, I did feel very faint (after they gave me a GTN spray) and they said my BP had dropped to 60 something over 40 something. They were talking in the room afterwards (but not to me) about what happened and mentioned something about adjusting my pacemaker and drop rate, and also that the P waves were disappearing. I am pleased that this happened during the test as I have sometimes been told I’m just anxious or unfit but has anyone any experience or knowledge about what any of this might mean, as it will be a fair while before I see the cardiologist. By chance I’ve got a booked catch up phone call with GP this week so will ask him but it would be good to hear from any of you if you have had similar experiences. I read the posts every day and find them very helpful. Thank you.
