Hi just reading a letter from Cardiology on the results of the last Echocardiogram. This ( gentleman ) has known Ischaemic Cardiomyopathy and is being managed by our heart failure nurse.
The current echocardiogram revealed an Ejection Fraction of 30 - 40 % with mild dilation of the Left Ventricle. There was Akinesia of the inferoseptal wall with Severe left atrial dilation, with no evidence of significant valvular disease This patient will continue to be followed up in the Heart Failure Clinic and is on Aggressive Medical Treatment. First time that I have read I am on Aggressive Medical Treatment ( hope it works ) LOL
I think this is a pretty positive assessment no mention of needing any intervention at this moment. Entresto definite helping with Breathing especially in the Morning. Other neds are Bisoprolol, Eplerenone, Furosemide,, Asprin,, Pravastatin, Isosorbide Mononitrate which I think are pretty routine Heart Failure Meds just the doses are all pretty high.
regards

Hi Prada... I see you are taking entresto which I have read is the new wonder drug for HF... so it's great to hear you are doing so well on it. Not really sure how it works but had made a note to ask about it at my next heart clinic in June. Can you shed any light on how it works?
I am currently on ramipril which I don't like as it lowers my BP too much and it also makes me feel foggy.
