Low ferritin
I have several symptoms of
iron
deficiency and just wondering if it is actually too low. GP states that is still in range. Any thoughts please?

Iron low
Hello, I just got back my blood work test and the
iron
read a little low, so I was wondering if anyone else here on the panel with pernicious anemia has had low
iron
. My
iron
binding is within range.
Iron
level is in range but
iron
percent transferring saturation is reading slightly low

Bloods and GP help!
The results we received are: TSH 0.65 miu/l (0-7 normal) Thyroid peroxidase 14ku/l (0-5.6 normal) B12 706ng/l (0-968 normal)
Iron
19 umol/l (0-148 normal) Ferritin 226ng/ml (0-296 normal) Folate 11ng/l (0-19 normal) He's at the point now where he's not fussed about a treatment, it's a diagnosis

High ferritin results
My thyroid doctor has asked me to get a full
iron
panel with my GP, which I will do. One of the possible causes of the high ferritin is being overmedicated on thyroid hormone. I don't feel over-medicated.

foods to eat for longevity
And if a woman is menstruating, I would recommend getting a yearly serum ferritin test because of the importance of
iron
. And sometimes just the amount of
iron
is in a multiple vitamin and mineral formula is enough to keep those ferritin levels up. We’ve learned a lot about vitamin D3 lately.

New to T3, advice please
I supplement with 210mg
iron
, plenty of magnesium, vitamin D and B supplements, I tend to stop these a couple days before my thyroid bloods and take them away from my meds. I take 2-3 mls of low dose naltrexone (LDN) daily, I'm gluten free for one year and working on dairy free.

No meds….yet
Also on
iron
tablets, B12, Vit D, Magnesium. Next stop Ropinole. I’m scared to take this as there appears to be so many negative stories including weight gain and nausea. Any advice??!

Infusion at Sheffield
Hi all, I seem to recall someone here saying they managed to get an
iron
infusion at Sheffield and if that's you I'd really appreciate it if you could clarify which Hospital and department.

Autoimmune issues -- should I try Pegasys?
As well, I'm
iron
deficient with ferritin typically under 10. I'm reluctant to try hydroxyurea since I enjoy being outside and there is a history of skin cancer in my family. Also, I'm interested in the possibility of remission that Pegasys can offer.
