Question regarding Iodine
Hi I am really confused about iodine and whether it is ok to take or not. Partial thyroidectomy 28 years ago, now have hashimotos (raised antibodies). Take thyroxine and ERFA. I have low blood calcium, and parathyroid issues, so I have no choice but to take calcium. I have been taking plant

Do I reduce thyroxine or T3 🤔
I’ve just got my latest results done by my Endo and am expecting a call from him as I’ve had a message from his secretary that my results are high and he wants to speak to me and TSH suppressed. TSH 0.05 FT4 - 22 ( 12-23) FT3 - 6.5 (3.1 - 6.8 ) I feel absolutely fine but I know he will want

Iodine Is Not The Bad Guy
Have you ever wondered why more women than men end up with Hashimotos? And why, of those women, many develop hypothyroidism after pregnancy? It happened to me, and to many other women. Medical science is slowly piecing it together, and there are many variables, both on this continent and others, including

Advice on Block & Replace please
Hi all, Finally had my Endo appointment yesterday. A reasonably positive appointment. She gave me time to speak and ask all the questions I wanted to. This was the best but there nearly an hour. She looked at all my results and suggested I’ve Been unstable for a long time. No way! When she got to

Thoughts/advice on plant milks containing iodine please?
Only just occurred to me that the iodine in the Oatly that I really love may not be a good thing to consume. I'm very hazy about iodine and thryoid plus Levothyroxine. So I thought I'd better consult with all the experts here. Are there basic rules with easy numbers? Is there a 'good'/ 'bad' form

Anyone tried ThyroLux supplements for Hashimotos or can recommend a different thyroid medication/ supplement
Iam looking at trying ThyroLux it seems to get good reviews but not sure if women are taking it for a supplement or whether it will actually be able to be used long term as a supplement to help control Hashimotos and keep TSH under control? It does have iodine in it so bit wary as I have felt more hypo

on-going Thyroid
In April. 22. I had some bloods taken and showed I was just starting to relapse, again. My Endo told my GP to increase my Levo from 100 to 125mg but keep my Carbimazole the same 40mg. In Oct 22 I had further bloods taken and this time showed I was going under-active So my Endo ordered my Levo to

Concern about Levothyroxine
Hi I have Hashimotos, but no treatment yet as my TSH is still not high enough. Been feeling rubbish for ages, and was hoping Levothyroxine would help once I am able to go on it. Problem is, for some while now if I have foods or meds that contain iodine, my BP and pulse go very high causing palpitations

Lost, confused, worried - trying to conceive and thyroid/lining/progesterone issues
Looking for some help/guidance/support. Apologies in advance for the long post. My husband and I, both 31 and healthy, have been trying to conceive for a year now with no success. We've both had a number of tests and through my own reading and persistent private re-testing have identified my thyroid

Iodine Blood Test Result
Hey - I was planning to stop my thyroid medication I never stopped it before and I don't have Hashimoto's or any kind of autoimmune disease, I live in a third-world country so the chances to have Iodine deficiency are higher I'm 23 years old male, I got diagnosed when I was 18 years old, and doctors

More recent bloods & dose increase
After my last post regarding my private blood tests, my Endo increased my levo to 100/125 alternate days. I've just had more blood tests, 6 weeks on through the Endo so no Ft3 and again he says they're in range! I really lost my sh*t and got out my list and explained how I've been feeling since having

Been very hard to find a suitable multi-vit
I have been here long enough now to realise that I need only very select vits/mins in high quality and the right doses and absolutely do not need a ton of stuff that ordinarily gets put into the std packages eg iodine / iron/E/A/boron /B plus the rest etc etc But as I try to save packaging and costs

just When I thought all was OK
I am here again looking for some guidance. Doing well then started to feel anxious. I am currently taking 2 grains of NDT and 25mcg of T3. Decided to do a blood test and my results are below…I have been taking the exact amount for some time .. but my results are different and why? What shall I increase

Anagrelid to Interferon and Hashimoto.
I’m seriously thinking of changing from Anagrelid to interferon. I’ve always had heart palpitations from Anagrelide. All doctors to date said no interferon (I have Hashimoto) and no HU ( I have inborn anaemia). When I tried it once, I had nasty neurological side effects. Now I found a new MPN
