Could anyone advise me about pains with Interferon. My husband has been on it for 3 months, my observations are that it's pretty horrendous. He is experiencing many issues, fatigue, depression, painful joints and muscles. He is considering stopping treat mentioned as feel he cannot cope. We are fighting

Medication for ET - HELP
Hi everyone. Looking to find someone in a similar boat here. I have Essential Thrombocythemia as well as APS. I'm recently on warfarin for APS but they now want to medicate me for my ET. In my doctors words, 'I'm an accident waiting to happen'. Anyway they want to start me on a low dose chemotherapy

Blood platelets still too high...?
Hey everyone... :) I hope all are happy and mostly well with their various MPNs etc... Just a quick question for anyone who might be able to shed some light. My diagnosis was changed from ET to Myelofibrosis (CALR+) in late December 2016, and I have been taking 20mg x2 per day of Jakafi (along w/ aspirin

Only you will get how exciting this is...
Ok, so we are taking our 7 year old away for the night to stay near a hotel near Longleat for a half term treat (in a vague attempt to beat the crowds in the morning). I take the usual deep breath (as am aware that eating out 9 times out of 10 has resulted in some unwanted symptoms reappearing). Plans

Purchase Drugs from Abroad.
I was diagnosed with HepC in May last year, and was told to wait until the new oral drugs were available (Sofosbuvir & Velpatisvir a 12 week regimen in tablet form) rather than the old interferon. I was promised the new drugs in March of this year and now I am told it is going to be later in the year

Long term effects
Hello everyone and Happy New Year. So I saw my Heam today and blood levels are still ok, however he mentioned about me being too young to be on Hydroxycarbamide, however the Interferon puts me in hospital and although I have approval for the Rux we need to hold off until I have my liver transplant..

This treatment is knocking the stuffing out of me. Depending say I'm fit for work!!
Hi I'm 14 weeks through my interferon and ribavarin treatment and have 10 weeks left. I was signed off due to my symptoms with a view to having it and getting clear and going back to work. I was signed off by a decision maker after some confusion with what had been written in the original ATos report

Platelets creeping back up - ET CALR+ve
After a year of Pegasys and steadily reducing platelets my last 3 counts have started to creep up again to 320, 380 and now just over 390. Still in normal range but I suspect I'll be back over 400 by the end of the year. Not too concerned as I guess the answer will be to increase the frequency of injections

Anyone had a shingles vaccination?
It was suggested by several friends who suffer from occasional attacks that I should avail myself of the free shingles vaccinations currently being given by the nurse at my GP's rooms. Because it is a live vaccine I wasn't sure about having it. I have ET, jak2 neg, and am on interferon alpha injections
