Why do diabetic people need to eat more fat?
Diabetes is a condition that affects the pancreas to the extent that they do not release the required quantity of insulin (later on when bcf gets deteriorated in Type 2), which can lead to a high blood sugar level as the body starts to absorb excess glucose from the food that it ingests. FATTY/ HIGH PROTEIN FOODS VS INSULIN
Egg/meat/ dairy food though give near zero glycermic value yet THEY also prompt rise in blood insulin. If so, why they are preferred to carbohydrates in diabetic management?

Five-a-side football and the "diabetic effect".
I am new to this forum. I am a 53 year old type 1 diabetic on a daily insulin dose of 15 lantus plus novo rapid, three times. I also take eltroxin tablets. Love to play 5-a-side football, but have been dogged all my life with the hyperglycaemic effect - the reaction of glucagon in the system once

GVHD The Gift That Keeps On Giving !!
Good Morning folks, thanks for your concern. . It's fair to say I've been under the cosh again recently. . I won't dwell on it all because I'm going forward now not back. So I will tell what going forward means in real terms. I'm seeing an eye specialist who specialises in Graft Versus Host Disease

EXCESS INSULIN
The functions of our organs are well coordinated by the body on its own and how it is done is yet to be known, though we have had progress. The dosage of drugs we take for Diabetic Management may not be the exact quantity required by the body prompting the chance of the stimulus we take for increasing

Dr. Fred Kummerow
If you have any interest in insulin and haven't read his book, then either you are ignorant or someone uninterested in your condition. He celebrated his 102 birthday on October the 4th. http://wphna.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/WN-2015-06-01-02-72-78-Idea-Fred-Kummerow-My-diet-JF.pdf
