Copd review
So I turned up at the surgery for my review today, and was told by a different receptionist it was meant to be over the phone. (FGS) anyway saw the copd nurse asked all the questions I wanted to ask. I asked how do they know it's emphysema and not anything else, she said the spirometry determines this

Lung Conditions
Hi I've had a chronic cough for as long as I can remember but in April this year I started getting blood in my phlegm when I got up in the morning. I have never been a big drinker of water but after looking at some information on the internet, I realised I could be suffering from dehydration so started

It's been a really long time since i wrote.hope everyone is doing well.i got covid in late Feb but my breathing was not affected.however i had massive fatigue for a week and then my trigeminal nerve got upset from the virus. It's something i had over 20 years ago from a mild thrush infection and it upset

taking seretide (advair) and Qvar together
Thus, if one's inflammation is in both types of airways, using both
inhalers
might make sense, at least physics-wise. Reviews on small airway inflammation state that PF and FEV1 are not sensitive towards small airway obstruction.

Damaged inhaler?
Hi, this is a random question but I was just curious. This evening while out doing shopping as I was paying at a self service I took my inhaler out of my pocket to reach my card. My inhaler was on the part which scans the codes Can the radar cause any issues with the inhaler? I was curious as when you

Non-allergic asthma? Is montelukast and antihistamine needed?
And instead be managed with stronger
inhalers
as opposed to ‘add-ons’ which maybe more for allergic-asthma? Sorry for lots of questions! I am just very confused now the allergy asthma seems to be ruled out. Thank you!

Early days. What might have caused my tinnitus? A Salbutamol inhaler, a wisdom tooth extraction?
I'm 65, male, live on my own. I have several ongoing health conditions. In early June I had a wisdom tooth extracted, the lower left hand side. The next day my GP gave me a Salbutamol inhaler to help with my newest health problem - which we think is moderate COPD. The tooth extraction itself went

Breathing Problem with once a day inhalers
I have been 2 x once a day
inhalers
for quite a while now, but find that no matter how I take them (together or one morning and one lunchtime) I am breathless again after about two and a half hours. I think I preferred having
inhalers
to take every four hours they seem to wok better.

Best Inhaler for Chronic Bronchitis
Hi all, Heading to the doctor this week, tried Brimica a few weeks back and we didn’t hit it off. The anxiety and tremors were off the chart. I’m considering asking for the Fostair small molecule inhaler as I have a slight asthma component. It also contains Beclomethasone which agrees with me. Pulmicort

Shortness of breath for days after exertion
Hi, everyone. I have been struggling for several years now and am wondering if anyone else has experienced this… I have had asthma since basically birth, well controlled until I turned 36, and now at 41, and I’m having shortness of breath for days after mild exertion. My asthma has never done this. I

Really Struggling with Fostair
The dr prescribed me more Prednisolone and advised me that my asthma is not under control and that I need to try different
inhalers
to manage it. Spoke to my asthma nurse at my GP practice who told me I was overdue an asthma review(I had no idea!)

Feel terrible
Dry, bad taste in mouth all the time(I don’t use
inhalers
), headaches that don’t go away. Chest discomfort off and on, a jittery malaise like feeling all the time, and my throat feels tight or full. This is terrible and my lung function isn’t even that bad yet.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa to lungs, will I need time off work to recover?
Hi Folks, I’ve been coughing hard for two months and had multiple antibiotics, steroids antihistamines, even asthma
inhalers
. No improvement. Last week I had bloods, Xray for pneumonia and sputum test. The sputum test was a very firm white decent chunk of something. (Sorry).
