Call asthma doctor? She doesn’t help much. Long term prednisone.
It seems like the fall often bothers my asthma. I was hospitalized in fall 2019 for 6 days for severe asthma exacerbation. Then COVID started. I’ve been on oral prednisone since fall 2019. I’m on daily 25 mg. My doctor is trying to lower the pred. She says it’s not doing anything now my body is just

Fatigue & Breathless Course (FAB)
I am sorry if this has turned into a rather long winded post (I didn't intend it to) But, I often see on here people asking about medicines,
inhalers
and treatments etc and asking for information.

Fostair Inhaler 100/6
How safe is the Fostair 100/6 inhaler please? After having been on a Symbicort inhaler since earlier this, my Asthma Nurse has changed my medication to a Fostair. Usually my breathing is under control but since beginning of this year, and after testing positive for Covid just after Christmas 2020, I

If it’s not one thing it’s another 🙄
If having pacemaker complications wasn’t enough along with pericarditis , an effusion I now have costochondritis Last few weeks I’ve had a bit of a cold , nothing more until Monday when I started with such a painful sore throat and mouth which meant I couldn’t take my medication as I was really struggling

Asthma decline
I take all my
inhalers
via spacer and use my ventolin 2 puffs up to 6 times a day at the moment. I'm day 4 of the new course of pred but feel no better and the cough has returned. Have you got any other recommendations?

Prednisolone Underactive Thyroid
I have been on high dose steroid
inhalers
for over 20 years to control my difficult asthma. However over the last couple of months it’s taken a turn for the worse and I have now been prescribed a 7 day course of 30 mg Prednisolone.

Life is full of surprises
It's been a while since I posted here, work, travel and life just kept being so busy I never seemed to find the time(( Well my COPD has not worsened since my last post and life has been treating me well and apart from the inhaler I have not really noticed the COPD. I thought it would get me in the end

Tight chest and phlegm
I've been having an excruciatingly tight chest (at times painful), for ages now along with a tight throat and bringing up some clear phlegm. I had stopped taking my prevention inhaler. Could these symptoms be caused by that? I haven't been coughing or wheezing. I'm female and 28 if that makes a difference

Coughing Fits
Hello I'm in a bit of unchartered territory at the moment so would really appreciate some advice from fellow sufferers who may have more experience dealing with it. I was diagnosed with asthma as a baby and had it throughout childhood. When I reached my teens it vastly improved to the point I didn't

Short of breath since pandemic
Hey, Just hoping for some advice or ideas from anyone :) I first started getting short of breath in March 2020, it was around when the pandemic was first kicking off in the UK. I therefore have been unable to get the normal tests to help diagnose my breathing issue. I have done a peakflow meter (which

Aerochamber cleaning question
Hi everyone, say I open a new aerochamber adult mask and I wash it for the first time before I use it, is every 7 days after that okay for a wash in just like warm water and fairy liquid and left to air dry or do I need to scrub gently inside tube to remove the medication that is left in the chamber
