What A Birthday I Had !
I don't want to hijack dear cof drop's funny post and so it is time that I tell my friends what has been going on. 4 weeks ago I managed to see a GP. I told her that I had been having pains in my left upper chest and was quite breathless. I felt sure that it was not an exacerbation of bronch. She laughed

Breathing problems
My husband has blue and pink
inhalers
and is constantly over using them so struggle constantly to get prescription for him. I initially thought it was because he was forgetting he had taken it so using it too much. But now I am thinking, is his breathing deteriarating. He has ARBD and ARLD.

Bronchiectasis diagnosis.....really struggling :(
I do have 2
inhalers
which give some relief but how does anyone lead anything like a normal life with these conditions. I dread going out and sometimes have to go back to my car to "cough it up" when out shopping. I feel so low and this week is the first week I have cried most days. Is this it ?

salted OJ and assisting lung function
if anyone here is taking their cough medicine,
inhalers
, plenty of fluids and still struggling a very good hack is salted OJ quite regularly - adds a decent amount of potassium that is not typically added via supplements. Boy, as soon as you have a glass you can notice an immediate help.

Maybe a sheep dip or biohazard fumigation chambers would do the trick 😂
Heart seems to be behaving today,
inhalers
for asthma have made throat & mouth so sore despite drinking to rinse away so laying off those while on antibiotics - maybe I just need to be put through a sheep dip to cure all ailments or put me in one of those zip up biohazard fumigators 😂 Hope you’re all

Glaucoma eye drops and migraines
I am waiting for an appointment at eye hospital because spec savers say my pressure is too high. My eyes appeared healthy from the OTC scan and blood vessels ok. Sight not deteriorating. I suffer badly from migraines and wondered if anyone on the forum uses eye drops that don’t cause headaches or make

Unable to write over the past couple of weeks.
My Asthma started to act up, so I went to the Docs. They updated my modulate brown inhaler to 2 puffs every morning and night. And to use my blue one when needed during the day. I must admit, that it has made a big difference to my breathing. I have to go back and discuss my BP medication with them

Short Period of Pred Increase
Pmr sufferer for 3 and half years and currently on 9mg of pred. Initially prescribed 40mg of pred which proved to be too much for pmr and suffered very high blood pressure until Ramipril prescribed. Over time i reduced to 20mg with a few flares to 9mg where I will stay for rest of my life due to pituitary

Stronger than steroids
I have had nasty asthma attacks for four days now, as the weather has got cold again. The asthma nurse says that she will ask the consultants permission to move me on to something stronger than fostair 200, to avoid having to give more pred. Any ideas as to which inhaler she could be referring to

Continuous never ending onslaught - still trying to be happy happy positive but 🤷♀️
The
inhalers
, steroids etc have put the heart rate up to continuous 100-117 which is now exhausting me again, can’t walk any distance without puffing and panting out of breath. Yesterday GP noticed the heart is pausing/skipping beats and air entry in one lung not moving as it is in the other.

I was keen as my gp practice has lost its asthma nurse, which is probably why I ended up in a and e So my wife trundled me down to the hospital and i saw a really good nurse who attacked how I used my
inhalers
and changed my recommended
inhalers
. All good.

Uncomfortable breathing
I have had mild asthma for about 25 years, usually controlled well. Within the last 4 weeks I am struggling to get a good enough breath in which leaves me feeling very uncomfortable and sometimes light-headed. I have been to see the asthma nurse who advised to take up to 10 puffs of Ventolin at any one

Privatisation?
Just had a respiratory review at the local surgery last week, not with the usual team of respiratory nurses but an outside ‘doc’, no testing/ spirometer just a drive supposedly instigated by government to review meds and change/ consolidate
