Peak flow test
I have recently been given a peak flow test to test for asthma. I am waiting a call back from my GP. I was told to do the test and then again after I use the inhaler. My question is how long do I wait after using the inhaler before I do the peak flow test? Thanks

My
inhalers
would literally gather dust (not good I know, but shows how controlled my symptoms were!) Then 6 months ago, my symptoms started developing again and I would use my ventolin more frequently. Visited the asthma nurse in February and she put me on clenil (2 puffs twice daily).

8 minutes x2 wooohooo
Just finished wk5r2 and I feel amazing. I have never run for that long in my life. And I didn’t even need to use my inhaler once I am so proud of myself and how far I have come in 5wks I didn’t even feel out of breath at the end and felt like I could have run further. I was nervous about the 3rd run

Same medication thyroid tablets x2 2x asthmatic

Hi all - just wondering if anyone has had anything similar, as i'm going round the bend. My asthma has always been pretty well controlled. I normally play football, but being in lockdown i went for a couple of runs before Easter, first ones for about 10 years. I pushed pretty hard, but ever since i've

Shielding an asthmatic 4 year old?
My little boy has just turned 4 and has been on steroid
Inhalers
for the passed 2 years due to his asthma (they're reluctant to diagnose this young but his Dad has bad asthma and he had many trips to the hospital).

Relvar and Sleeping Disoder
Does Relvar give you a sleeping issue? Does it help if you use the inhaler in the morning. My MD put me on Respimat and Relvar ( one puff each before bedtime).

Suspected Covid, now on Salamol & Qvar, questions
Hello all, newbie here so apologies in advance for any stupid questions. I'm 51, female, live in the UK's beautiful west of England, haven't had an inhaler since my teens and am not asthmatic. I'm 5'3", my O2 sats remain good, I'm not overweight and I'm a singer (can't sing now!) I had suspected Covid

Hay fever and Asthma Hell
So far have really been fighting a good fight, but do feel there are external forces who don’t agree with me running...Took an extra rest day after my last run to wake up to this pollen count...🤯 UPDATE: Did it! W7R2 done! Did have to use my inhaler half way through, and during the Toxic Ten it was

Jobseeker’s Allowance or ESA
As an asthmatic on several
inhalers
but not in the shielding group, should he be claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance or ESA until he is able to find work? I am rather concerned that if this lockdown ends prematurely he will still be at significant risk.

Bisoprolol and asthma inhalers
Ive read that you need to be careful using beta agonist asthma
inhalers
along with beta blockers. Im asking because ive started feeling a little out of breath lately and may need to take it at some point.

Asthma just getting worse - long post (sorry )
I just feel like I can’t carry on like this I’m go through
inhalers
all the time as I’m constantly fighting my chest . I can run for 20/30minutes at a push but my chest will be tight for a couple of days afterwards. When I’m running I feel as though I can’t get a full breathe if that makes sense.

Lactose allergy
I have been prescribed a number of different
inhalers
at different doses, none especially effective. I am also prescribed Cetirizine daily. I was tested as allergic to lactose and household dust. All the
inhalers
I have been prescribed contain lactose.

Clenil or Qvar
I have taken Clenil for years and years - basically since it was decided it was better for the environment and I’ve been trundling along very nicely with no problems at all. I was recently given Qvar - it was back at the start of lockdown, there seemed to be some sort of a delay then I was told the pharmacist

W7R1 almost killed me...didn't
Well that hurt! I managed to run through the Toxic Ten (honestly, will anything ever get better about that?!) but it was actually the final minute or so when full on asthma kicked in. Felt like had been kicked in the chest. Could not have gone 30 seconds more. Finished it, used my inhaler and have recovered
