Failed first ICSI cycle
Hello. I’m new to this. I’ve had a rubbish experience with my clinic in Bristol and was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a clinic with supportive practitioners with good communication? I’m over 40 and have been floored by the failure of my first cycle and considering a change in clinic.

Azoospermia straight to ICSI?
I wanted to ask if anyone has experience of fertility consultant moving straight to suggesting
ICSI
when azoospermia is not fully investigated? As soon as we had to sperm samples with zero sperm count, my husband and I went private for assessment to speed things up.

ICSI - loss of cramps/ pregnancy feelings 7dp. Looking for hope :(
From day 1-5 post transfer I had been feeling lots of pelvic activity.. since day 6 post transfer they stopped. This is our 5th transfer (I’ve done 5 egg collections) and our first ever perfect Blast and as well as an average quality Blast we transferred 29th June. After 3 rounds of not getting past

And so we go again!!
My husband and I have just received a treatment summary of our
ICSI
cycle that resulted in the birth of our little boy Jack. We are now going private in the hope of having a sibling. Does anyone have any advice on the second time round? Any ideal questions to ask?

Broken but will continue
I had my egg collection yesterday after doing short protocol and
ICSI
first time on this protocol I have always done long protocol and IVF. Spoke to the Embryologist just now and out of 10 eggs collected only 1 made it still need to wait until Monday to see how far it gets.

Zero Fertilisation/DOR - questions to ask at review?
I've just finished my first IVF cycle using a long protocol and
ICSI
which resulted in 3 eggs of which none fertilised and I was hoping you might be able to suggest some questions I should ask at the review meeting?

Is 6 eggs enough?
Last time we had IVF but this time we are getting
ICSI
because it’s male factors (slightly low mobility and motility and medium DNA fragmentation.) so I’m hoping that as they are selecting the sperms the embryo rate might be higher It all just feels like a big lottery and there’s no way of knowing.

bit lost
Feedback was sperm count/activity was close to normal, eggs not forming normally. 2nd cycle was
ICSI
, one embryo transferred but didn’t survive and nothing frozen. 3rd cycle we were advised to use egg donation, which we took 6 months to think about (obviously an easier decision for me than my wife).

Triggered too soon
Just had the call from clinic to update us of rate of fertilisation following egg retrieval yesterday. 15 follicles, 9 eggs collected, none fertilised via
ICSI
. The embryologist stated none of the eggs were mature.

AMH wobbles ....
He has Azoospermia so just ruled out he doesn't have chromosomal abnormalities, which was a relief and now on the path towards
ICSI
. One thing I wasn't expecting was a slightly lower AMH level than average. I'm 34 years old and was advised ideally 20-25pmol/L was about right but mine was 14 pmol/L.

Recurrent implantation failure test
I’ve had one early pregnancy loss from an
ICSI
cycle and two failed transfers (1 x Fresh and 1x frozen). Our consultant has suggested that I do a RIF test. I didn’t realise how expensive it was. Have you taken the test and did it help with you next cycle/s at all? Thank you x

When to give up…
In summary, I have had 2x laproscopy in the last 4yrs, a mixture of long/short/natural modified IVF/
ICSI
cycles. In 2020 I gave it my all and implemented lifestyle and nutrition changes suggested in “it starts with an egg” alongside Accupunture.

3th cycle IVF, low reserve and poor responding
Second cycle same protocol and
ICSI
. 3 eggs collected, 2 mature, 2 fertilised. Very slow growing embryos. At day 5 they told me the transfer will be cancelled. On day 6 they called and said 1 embryo miraculously became a blastocyst overnight. Poor quality. The transfer did not result in pregnancy.

Waiting for the wait..
We're awaiting husband's kariotype blood test result before being referred for
ICSI
. We've been provisionally told that it will be at least 8 months before starting treatment if they can retrieve sperm.

Egg collection = 1 egg that didn’t survive ICSI
After our egg collection in March that yielded no eggs, this collection was really going to dictate our chances. Well the title says it all after 2 rounds we still have nothing to transfer 😭 I am 35, AMH 4.9 I had 4 follicles but again they couldn’t access my abdominal ovary. In terms of using my own

First FET - a few question:
Story so far:
ICSI
because of poor morphology. first fresh round only got one morula. Failed cycle. Second fresh round: 2 top grade blastos one put back and failed second going back on June 20th. 1. Had anyone had success with a similar experience? 2.

Transfer day - help keep me positive with success stories of 3 day embryo transfers!
After my egg collection on Thursday (5 eggs retrieved) they were only able to inject 3 (we’re doing
ICSI
) and only 2 fertilised. Got a call this morning to say one had developed abnormally and so we were to come in today for a 3 day transfer.
