Surgery follow-up appointment
Hi all I had my surgery on the 30th of March, where they found four bits of endo. I did have stomach pains in my first month, but then I had an infection. From the second month after my surgery, I had stomach pains again, although it was at a lower intensity and frequency. Over the last couple of

? Endo back after lap
I had a lap 12 months ago for deep infiltrating endo (it was in my uterus, pelvis, bladder, bowel and rectum). I’ve got a coil in situ to try and keep things at bay. I was put on hormone tablets for 6 months after surgery which stopped in may of this year. The past few months I’ve been getting sharp

Copper IUD
Anyone experienced any sickness/nausea, after having the copper iud placed? Since having it placed I've been feeling really sick to the point where my mouth is watering. I'm trying to rule it out because I'm on medication.

ovarian cysts
hi all, I think the reason for me being in agony pretty much every day is I think I keep having ovarian cysts every month even thought I’m on the pill and the coil … I know most people have no symptoms from this but I’m always in so much pain. Is anyone else dealing with this? If so what is the plan

Help! cascade of hormonal events after Covid booster! Not sure where to turn next…
Hi everyone I started having menopausal symptoms when I was 47. As I had the merino coil I was just given a 50mg oestrogen patch which worked wonders and got rid of the hot sweats. All was running smoothly until about a year later when I started getting hot flashes and itchy skin. Went up to 75 patch

Will IUD removal potentially start a period early?
Hello, I'm at the end of my tether and so I'm getting my IUD out. I think it's the root of all my issues as tests keep coming back negative. I've had it for over a year and its not stopped my cycle. I still go through all the crap just with a pathetically light flow. I'm going to be due on within days

Just popping in to say Hi!
After many tests an
ICD
was suggested which went OK until the fitting when the wire insertion triggers VF/VT 3 times. Being shocked 3 times on the table while awake was definitely something i'm not in a rush to repeat!

Not coping with pain right now
Had generic painkillers, hot shower while covering on the floor, writing this post in a brief few minutes of moderate pain before the severe pain inevitably comes crashing back. No comfy position. Sweating, feel faint. Pain indescribable. I can’t be on the pill. Prescribed painkillers don’t scratch

Financial support for Endo when it impacts your ability to work
Hi, I'm 44 and have struggled with symptoms of endo for many years but especually bad since having the coil removed about 6 months ago. Chronic bleeding and quite random very heavy bleeds with exhaustion which make it difficult to function let alone work. I'm on the waiting list for hysterectomy as

Help… too young for lap
Hello all, I’m hoping someone will be able to help as I’m feeling so frustrated and not listened to. Since being around 12/13 I have experienced horrendous periods, debilitating pain, fainting, vomiting, fatigue, bowel issues and a whole host of other symptoms which have never been taken seriously

Told by gynae MRI could not be done to check for endo/adeno, confused!
Hi I posted last week as due to go for hysteroscopy and was pretty worried. Gynae was friendly and due to me saying about pelvic pain offered option of general anaesthetic if I wanted it, which I do. I said that previous ultrasound had showed a bulky womb, he said that was prob due to the fibroids I

Pending Hysterectomy Advice
Hi everyone, I’m feeling anxious to write here, it’s only tonight I thought maybe something like this might help, alongside those who know and are experiencing the same as me. I’m due to undergo surgery for a hysterectomy in December, and am now starting to feel incredibly anxious. Sorry for the essay

ADAA blog: Differentiating Self-Harm OCD from Suicidal Ideation
How do I know if I have self-harm OCD or if I actually want to kill myself? This is a significant differentiation to make because it can have treatment-impacting and even life-threatening consequences. In this blog, ADAA member Emma Kelley-Bell will explore the main differences between suicidal ideation

How do you manage obsessive thoughts?

I had 3 ablations at MUSC to address PVC’s and ARVC, got an
ICD
after that, then developed AFib followed by an atrial ablation and finally a cardioversion to fix atrial flutter a month after the shocker. I’ve felt fine through all of this - asymptomatic all along.
