Long term effects
So I saw my Heam today and blood levels are still ok, however he mentioned about me being too young to be on
Hydroxycarbamide
, however the Interferon puts me in hospital and although I have approval for the Rux we need to hold off until I have my liver transplant....which is fine and I agree with him

Hydroxycarbamide - the best time to take it
Hi everyone. It's strange - I use a computer for Emails, reports, letters etc. I text on the phone, but each time I put a post on here, I make a mistake and put it in a reply box. Well , I'll try again. My "reply" post was a bit long so I'll summarise. I am due to start Hydroxy, immediately after

Eczema & MPN's & Hydroxycarbamide
Occasionally, I get very dry skin in between my fingers which can lead to tiny little cuts and these are very irritating at times. I was prescribed epiderm which works very well. I just wondered whether anyone else has the same problem and whether it's because of the HU or MPN? Regards Mark

FIRST LINE PV SURVEY
We propose to test Ruxolitinib (a JAK inhibitor approved in MF and patients with advanced PV) and compare it to Interferon or Hydroxyurea (
Hydroxycarbamide
).

Does anyone else get severe itching on their jaw? Peculiar I know!
I am on
hydroxycarbamide
each day and bloods are now doing really well. The doctors at the hospital are usually not interested in any other symptoms and said that once bloods are normalised I would feel better - but I don't!
