Parkinson's breakthrough could be on horizon, pre-clinical study shows
Purdue University researchers say they have pinpointed how the compound acrolein promotes the development of Parkinson's disease in the brain. The researchers believe administering "anti-acrolein scavengers," like the drug Hydralazine, might be a new "strategy to alleviate tissue damage and motor deficits

Anti-acrolein scavengers such as hydralazine - Another drug that lowers BP - could be used to treat PD
‘Key Factor’ In Development Of Parkinson’s Disease Identified: 1. Acrolein appears to destroy neurons 2. Hydralazine, a drug used to treat high blood, scavenges Acrolein 3. Salbutamol (also known as albuterol) could reduce the risk of Parkinson’s disease by half. It acts by a different mechanism

Salbutamol or Hydralazine or both to use in our epic fight.. :)
“Evidence suggests that salbutamol acts by a different mechanism than hydralazine — that is, by reducing alpha-synuclein accumulation — and thus perhaps salbutamol and an acrolein-scavenging drug could be used together to achieve an even greater therapeutic effect,” Rochet hypothesized.... https://parkinsonsnewstoday.com

Hello...I'm a newbie here. Seeking Tinnitus help.
Hello all. I found your site after doing a search for Tinnitus on the NRAS page for Rheumatoid Arthritis/Rheumatoid Disease. I have had Tinnitus since December 2017/January 2018. I am seeing an ENT, but have only had one appointment so far. I am scheduled for a hearing test at my next appointment.

Peripheral neuropathy and burning feet
Saw some comments a few days ago, and wanted to remind everyone to carefully read the literature that comes with all your drugs. For a couple of years, I have had intense burning feet, especially in the evenings, and assumed it just went with the neuropathy. Not so! After studying all my medicine literature

Metoprolol action
When I was diagnosed with atrial flutter in February of 2016, my GP prescribed Metoprolol 25 mg with the words that it did three things: address the heart rate, the heart rhythm, and the blood pressure. At the time, I was also taking for blood pressure 25 mg Hydrochlorothiazide and Ramipril 5 mg, but

Shortness of breath
I recently had an aortic valve repair through a TAVR procedure. A few weeks after the procedure I was feeling great.....very little shortness of breath, only if I over exerted. My primary physician lowered my metoprolol tartrate from 25 mg twice a day to 12.5 mg twice a day because of my heart rate staying

Am I experiencing a blood pressure med reaction?
I'll try to be kind of brief... I'm 35 year old male, married w/ two precious girls (4yrs & 3yrs old). About 6 years ago we discovered that I had high blood pressure while checking bp at my inlaws house. We have high bp and high cholesterol in my family so we decided to go to "the families" cardiologist
