Hello, I’m new here but would like some input from others about foot surgery in rheumatoid arthritis. My feet are very deformed from arthritis. I saw a surgeon last week who said he can put a metal rod into my big toes to straighten them and then remove parts of the bones on the remaining toes to make

High blood pressure after ablation
I am new here. I had my ablation 5 days ago and my blood pressure started to go up two days ago. I still take the same bp meds as before, and they have added colchicine, pepcid and famotadine to the mix. Could any of those be causing an increase in my bp? It was normal when I left the hospital.

Svt’s and Afib
I had cardiac ablation March 2018. Two week heart monitor showed some Svt’s and some Afib. On medication and blood thinner. What heart medicine do you take to control Svt’s? I have had multaq, tioksen, amiodarone, flecainide. I now am on metropolol, fosinopril, and eliquis. I have read on this

A mixed feeling farewell
I have moved country a year ago and am now under a different rheumatologist obviously. He has changed my unconfirmed diagnosis of inflammable arthritis to (in his opinion quite firm diagnosis) of chondrocalcinosis or pseudo gout with some osteoarthritis. So I am probably not in the right forum now.

My 20 years with CLL
Diagnosed with CLL in 1998 and spent the first six years in Watch & Wait. There was not many chemo options in those W&W years. In 2004 with my whites at 90,00, Fludarabi + Rituxin was completed but whites were up again in about seven months. Between 2005 and 2014 six more sessions were completed. Fortunately

Venetoclax and ibrutinib trial
Hello, I’m on month 19 of a 26 month trial taking Venetoclax & ibrutinib plus aciclovir, co-trimoxazole, lansoprazole & allopurinol to counteract side effects caused by the Venetoclax & ibrutinib. My last consultation shows no evidence of CLL anywhere. This is great news but I’m thinking why I should

Pseudogout (CPDD)
Hi, My wife has recently been diagnosed with the above from an x-ray on both knees which found calcium crystals in one knee. So, she gets flare-ups of pain there, which is helped by painkillers, icepack and cream. She hopes to get back to her excercise and running, so, does anyone else have this ailment

Nebivolol
Hi, to cut a long story short , I came off Bisoprolol 3.75 a month ago and asked GP to go on Nebivolol as others seemed happier on it, GP not happy , he said Nebivolol which I had read good reports on was not heart specific , only used for people over 70 and not as good for AF and mild AV regurgitation

Post Op Watchman Device Protocol: DONE
For everyone who had to read about my Watchman device procedure the last six months-this is the last post. Had the procedure Jan 15, 2018. But weaning off of anticoagulants was the longest part. Continued warfarin til March 9th, when my TEE (US)/TOE showed device completely covered by atrial tissue.

Muscle and joint pain
I need some help! I have been on imbrivica for 8 months. I decided it was time to start running again and I went for a short run 1 1/2 mile. The next day i had so much pain in both knees. A week later I can't even walk. The pain is so bad. The doctor is holding my imbrivica and had me on prednisone

Low platelets
Hello all. My father's last two blood tests showed low platelets and now his lymphocytes are at 75.5%. He hasn't seen the dr yet because we are on vacation. He is concerned about this. He has been watch and wait, but the low platelets seem to be an indicator of advancement. Any insight would be most
