Thyroid research project
I wrote to complain about the thyroid research being carried out in Newcastle and there have been a little flurry of emails with me getting nowhere. Here is what has been written. The article he refers to can be found in THYROID Volume 31, Number 5, 2021 Clinical Outcomes After Discontinuation of Thyroid

Adrenal/Cortisol issues- help please
So it's recently been bought to my attention that my struggles to tolerate any t4 t3 medication could be down to low cortisol or adrenal issues, is this common? I'm starting to question if adrenal issues are actually my main problem? I was diagnosed 'subclinical hypo' last year and have been on varying

Result Help Please
My husband’s phlebotomist suggested there may be a problem with his thyroid. For now the only results we have are from TSH and T4. Can anyone help me interpret them please? Thanks!

Hi, I have had some tests recently which included thyroid levels and my free T3 levels are 3.1 which appears to me, to be right on the borderline of normal. changing from Armour to levo
Hi all I take armour thyroid and have done for over 10 yrs now. I was originally prescribed this by a private doctor but further down the rd I found a way to buy Armour myself so I self medicate. I test my levels regularly (probably every 4-6 months) and I’ve felt in a good place for years. That’s

Hyperthyroid symptoms and dosage?
I was diagnosed with borderline hyperthyroidism in 2020 due to a toxic multinodular goitre and started on 5mg Carbimazole which I’ve taken since that time. I’ve never felt that the medication has completely controlled my hyper symptoms and still have bouts of sleeplessness and racing heart. My endocrinologist

At a loss and feeling ill
Went to Drs yesterday to request a referal to an endo, as I feel unwell, weak and wobbley - for well over a year now. I told him that I had paid for a private blood test to check my t3 levels, as the Nhs doesn't like doing them that often, and he totally refused to look at them. Said that, if theyre

Are these results okay?
Hi,I have been having overwhelming fatigue resulting in me needing to sleep during the day most days, which is most unlike me. I have also been having heavy periods every 3 weeks, sometimes even less, last cycle was 19 days. Terrible brain fog and inability to concentrate. GP said it could be thyroid

Still having symptoms of hypothyroidism despite medication - any advice?
I wondered if anyone could please share their thoughts on my situation. I was diagnosed with subclinical hypothyroidism around 8 years ago, but didn’t have any symptoms (apart from some fatigue). Then, after contracting COVID in 2020, I began to have symptoms like 30-35lb weight gain (unexplained),
