My mum has had an underactive thyroid for years...alongside type 1 diabetes. She was told she wasn't having enough levothyroxine, so the doctor wanted her to put it up to 100, but she asked to go on 75, as she felt 100 would be too much. The doctor agreed. NHS Endo blood request form whilst on T3 & 4
Just received my latest bloods form which only requests TSH and fT4... since starting T3 a year ago they have never requested a fT3 result ( I've added them to the form for my own benefit) Is this the norm? Just curious It's almost as if I'm prescribed T3 but they don't acknowledge it 🤷‍♀️

levo reduction
After annual bloods in july a duty doctor told me to reduce meds, 125mcg and 100 mcg on alternate days as I was overmedicted and retest in four or 5 months, I think that was too long. However I had bloods done again on 15th november and phoned the surgery 9 days later as I hadn't heard from them and

Doseage Armour Thttpid
Plotting my most recent bloods into this % converter I’m thinking an increase in doseage would be a good idea. I take AT 1 grain am and 3/4 pm. Could I increase to 1 grain pm on alternate days? The Endos kick off due to suppressed TSH.

Questions regarding an oestrogen cream (Ovestin) and its effect specifically on hypothyroidism but also in general
This morning I visited my GP for an abdominal examination because of raised liver enzymes. As our conversation progressed and I mentioned other niggles she offered a blood test there and then for rheumatoid arthritis, organised a pelvic ultrasound for tomorrow (I know, amazing!), a stool sample and a

t3/t4 combo advice please
I am feeling very fed up, very low and like I can’t keep going with all this… Saw endo last month and was advised to take 7.5 t3 and choice of whether I wanted to drop to 50 or 62.5mcg levo - down from 75. I opted to stick with 62.5 levo as 50 had no symptom relief before! I started slow adding 2.5

I’m Quite Annoyed Over My Latest Blood Tests.
Three months ago my Levo was reduced because they thought I was taking too much. This week I had my blood test and they haven’t even tested T3 as last time so how am I supposed to know if it’s much better or not?. The September results were: TSH - 0.03 [0.35-4.94] FT4 - 20.1 [9.0-19.0] FT3 - 4.89 [

Low TSH, T4 but optimal T3 on NDT (22 weeks pregnant)
I'm 22 weeks pregnant and get my labs run every month. Getting treatment has been a bit messy. I was referred to an endo and went out of curiosity when I was first pregnant. But I also did my own research and read Stop the Thyroid Madness, joined some groups, etc., and learned about NDT. I felt

Does anyone know of a good GP or Endocrinologist in Australia that actually knows what they're talking about with regard to thyroid/pituitary/hypothalamus function? I am desperately trying to find a doctor who can actually help me, but have had no success so far.

Clinic recommendations for low AMH/ poor reaction to stimms / recurrent miscarriage
Hi everyone I’ve just finished my 3rd IVF cycle this week and we are waiting to see if our 1 embryo will make it to blastocyst. I have low AMH (6.2pmol or 0.86ng) and been having poor reaction to stimms. So far we haven’t got any frozen embryos as we are PGT-A testing them due to recurrent miscarriages

I read that metabolic syndrome is associated with autoimmune diseases (so also hashimoto), so I decided to prevent it (I found a book on the spot, let's hope it's good). Has anyone else successfully followed izabella wentz's advice? I really liked her advice and put it into practice right away

High T3 and T4
Low TSH points to hyperthyroidism. High T3 and T4 also point to hyperthyroidism. Your numbers aren't far off, however. Guarantee that my Dr. would be in agreement with your GP. I'd just wait and have it all retested in a few months. Also, I can tell you by experience, that anxiety could be causing

Opioids can cause adrenal insufficiency
Hi everyone, It appears that opioids can cause adrenal insufficiency. This is something I have not seen mentioned here. Does anyone know about this? Here are a few articles. I think this has relevance to anyone trying to taper through the lower doses of pred if they are taking opioids for pain or any
