Endo recommendations?
Please! Can anyone send me (via private message, do not reply here please) recommendations for a private endocrinologist who has a record of prescribing NDT or T3 and won't baulk at suppressed TSH. Does such a specialist even exist?I think I'm moving towards being prepared to self medicate if it doesn't

Persistent AF, Diltiazem, side effects or Menopause??
I apologise in advance for what will be quite a lengthy post.... :( I was diagnosed with persistent a year ago Oct 22, but likely I had it unknowingly for about 2 years prior and put breathlessness and tiredness to work/being unfit. I am 57. During that 12 months I was on Bisoprolol for 9 months and

Update on my post earlier this week. Re Private GP advice - due to under medication.
Results from blood tests on Wednesday.TSH 6.87 (0.4 - 5.4) T4 13.1 (11.5 - 22.7) Assuming my GP will now agree to give me an increase! 🤞 I'll go prepared. I think I'll still end up needing some help to get to an optimal level, at some point in the future. So grateful for all your support and information

How stable should TSH be?
Hi. I have a few things going on that I'm getting checked by the GP, but they keep refusing to check my T4 level so I have gone privately - thanks to advice on this forum. In the meantime, I'm trying to make sense of the data I do have. How widely should TSH vary in someone who has been taking the same

Longevity, demographic characteristics, and socio- economic status are linked to triiodothyronine levels in the general population

Help! Doctor has refused my Pred repeat request.
I started on 20 mg of Prednisolone 6 years ago, and after several failed attempts to get lower, have remained at 5mg daily for a year now. After the (enjoyable!) stress of my 90th birthday party a few days ago, I got the old familiar Polymyalgia shoulder ache, so I took an extra 5mg for 5 days and

Has anyone had funding pulled due to low AMH?
Hello to you all,🤗 New to the forum so hope this is ok & wishing you all the best in your journey I have recently had my AMH level comeback as 1 (for my age, 38, it has to be 3 or above for funding in my area) I then paid for two private tests, results came back as 3 & 3.6! Excellent I thought,

Hi, I went T3 only 3 weeks ago after trying combination therapy for 6 months. At around the same I had my local surgery test for blood FBC, blood sugar, cholesterol, calcium folate, B12 Iron etc. This was just to check for my self that I wasn't encountering any other issues. How can clinics do it differently surely it should be the same wherever you go although someone told me there is a larger 'window ' for natural fets. Also do your clinics

I Had A Phone Call Yesterday.
Basically the doctor who did my thyroid blood test a few weeks ago now says I am taking too much Levo and she wants to lower me from 100 x6 days a week/50 on a Sunday down to 75mcg. every day. She was going to send a new prescription through to Lloyds reflecting 75 as the new dose, so I told her I wanted

Is feeling hot in face 24/7 a menopause symptom/ low estrogen symptom? Will it go away with HRT(estrogen patch)?
Does anyone feel hot in your face all the time? Not only am I having hot flashes but I am feeling hot in my face ALL f the time with no end. Will HRT( estrogen patch) take away hot flashes and feeling hot all the time especially in my face?
I'm about to start the estrogen patch in a couple days after I see my gyno. I have no estrogen due to the fact that I haven't had a period in over 20 years due to chronic anorexia. So I'm having severe hot flashes and I feel hot all the time especially in my face. She feels the HRT and the will give

Thyroid Uptake Scan
In Feb 2023 I asked my GP for help as I’d noticed my weight was dropping, had temperature fluctuations and I thought the odd heart palpitation. Tests showed my TSH was 0.1 but my T3 and T4 were within normal range. In October I finally saw an Endocrinologist who arranged an ultrasound scan, bloods and

subclinical - do I need levo?
I have been borderline Subclinical hypothyroidism for around 10 years. The GP put me on levothyroxine 2013, I took a low dose for a month or two but couldn’t tolerate it (palpitations), so I stopped. I was referred to Endo who did a check on my antibodies - was clear. Every year, my tsh was either just
