Hi, In May 2021 I had the intrinsic factor blood test and my results were as follows. 89 u/ml. With a normal range of 0-24 u/ml. And the following notes. The presence of anti intrinsic factor antibodies together with a low vitamin B12 level is diagnostic of pernicious anaemia Does this make sense to

After that I went to contact my MPN team and request antiviral Paxlovid medication. I was not able to get through my MPN team as I was hoping then I called 111 and as I was talking

Out of range low T4 but normal TSH and T3
Hi all I was on Levothyroxine for sub clinical hypothyroidism during pregnancy. My son is now 4 months and I have been undergoing multiple blood tests to establish what the course of action should now be. My TSH and T3 are within range but my T4 is very low. I will attach results and my ranges to this

Unwanted liothyronine reduction.

T3 fallen
I have my private Endo appt next month. Did my MMH blood test last week but as I bought the pack 5 months ago I wondered if there could be a problem with the results. My previous blood test in Feb after starting T3 just before Christmas showed my T3 had risen to 5.9 (3.1-6.8) from 3.9 and my hypo symptoms

Blood Test Results
Hello, I would be grateful for some advice regarding these results. The background is that my Levothyroxine dose was reduced from 100mcg to 75 in early February 2024, due to a TSH only test which was below range. By late March I could barely function so I had a private test prior to the GP's TSH test

And breathe …..
On a blood test from my GP 3 weeks ago the results showed blasts, where previously I hadn’t had any. Obviously this caused me a great deal of worry. I had blood taken on Tuesday and spoke to haematologist this afternoon. He said he’d looked at the blood film on both tests himself and couldn’t see anything

Levothyroxine - saint or devil?
Help please. I had thyroiditis some years ago (lost 2 dress sizes - great) but then went hypo. I was first prescribed levothyroxine 75mcg, later increased to 100mcg. However, since starting the meds, I became heat intolerant, gained far too much weight and am always exhausted (not menopausal - went

New and Needing Advice
Hi All, I am new here. I am 26 years old and was told 2 years ago(in 2022) that I probably have fibromyalgia. I was doing okay then, but now I am in a lot of pain. I was recently told again this year that I probably have fibromyalgia, but I'm still not sure if its true. The first time I was told was

Have I cardiac haemolytic anaemia or haven't I?
I have been borderline anaemic for some years and it seems that my TAVI a year ago and the consequent medication may have pushed me over the threshold. On May 31 a haematologist wrote to my GP following tests on
March 5
to say that "it is likely [that I have] cardiac haemolytic anaemia". But

25mcg Levo and feel worse
I recently posted about being put on Levothyroxine by my GP who referred me to Endocrinologist (still waiting for an appointment). GP put me on 25mcg on a trial basis because NHS test don't show issues with thyroid. My first week on Levo, I felt an improvement in fatigue. I could sing again too!

Woohoo! 1 year anniversary since my quadruple CABG 🙌🏻
Wow! Hard to believe that it’s been a year since I had quadruple bypass heart surgery following an Nstemi heart attack. I am so grateful. This last month has been pretty eventful too. I got the opportunity to thank two people that really contributed to my path of treatment and therefore my rebirth

Carbimazole and confusion
Hi all, hope you are doing well 😊 I already posted some time ago, and for all the results you can check the BIO, as they are the most up-to-date at the moment. In the meantime, my GP referred me for an ultrasound, which I will have on August 13th, and for a consultation with an endocrinologist, which

starting O+A in a couple of weeks
I've been on watch and wait going on 7 years. I feel very good and I wouldn't know I had anything if my blood test didn't come out wonky. Went to the hematologist today and am in need of treatment. I'm starting O+A in a couple of weeks and getting nervous. I think I'm most worried about navigating
