Can IBS lead to other conditions?
HiAfter having ibs most of my adult life it has, I believe led to an autoimmune condition. Leaky gut then migraines and all the time the link was gluten. Gluten free now and have been for over 3 years, dairy free too for over 2 years, private tests have led to this very restrictive diet. FODMAPDIET didn't

I know all too well how overwhelming this diagnosis can be to anyone. All of the emotions that can follow are hard to deal with for sure. If any new member doesn't feel comfortable posting anything here initially, please feel free to send me a message via 'chat'. We have all been exactly where you

Drop in resting heart rate since pred
HiI have been on 40mg pred for suspected GCA for2 weeks now. ( actually was 60 in first week then dropped to 40 in second). I had a temporal artery biopsy yesterday so resting up and taking it easy. I wear a fitbit so am aware of my usual resting heart rate. It is normally between 61-65. When asleep

vitamin d advice please
I’m sub clinic apparently. I plan to start V D but my first look at what’s available is confusing. Is there more than one V D as I see some are called D3? Is the RDA amount available or do you just take lots to make it up. I’m 61 female with AI rheumatoid conditions and veggie.

Dear AFA forum family. Isn't life wonderful? I joined the AFA forum some four years ago and had it not been for chance encounters, who knows where I would be today. It started with an AFA post titled "Tim' Story". At the time of his post (several years ago) Tim was 55 and his story mirrored my own

PSA rise from initial Pluvicto treatment
I am curious if most of you that have been through Pluvicto experienced a PSA rise initially? I just finished my first injection, and did see a bit of a jump in PSA level. I had a similar experience in the SPLASH trial last year. After the first Lu177 injection, my PSA shot up quite a lot. This got

is this a lupus rash?
Just wanted to add: I’m not taking anything anyone says as a diagnosis or medical advice I promise. I was just curious what people thought it looked like, and just gave info for context. I promise I’m not thinking if someone says it does look like the lupus rash that I’m not taking it as a diagnosis

Hashis and Graves? Watch and Wait has now caught up.
About 15 months or so, I had an appointment for a thyroid specialist as my thyroid tests pointed towards Graves. I had been hypothyroid for about 17years when my different results meant my gp prescribing less and less levo. When the amount became 12.5mcg, (after an original 150 mcg) I asked to be
