IS THERE A NUMBER FOR ANYTHING
We all don't know what the next day will bring for any of us with or without PSP. Since my honey got rid of the UTI and his med Sinemet were raised from 25/100 to 25/250 and changed as when to take then. He takes them 3 times a day whole and then a half for the 4th dose. Turns out to be 4 times a day

Is he on Sinemet?
i was on Sinemet and researched how the carbidopa depletes B6 which isnecessary for many metabolics, thats why people loose weight. I lost 65 # and started taking mega doses of B6, much better, and starting to gain weight, and my tremors are getting better, alot better, considering this is the major

Stiffness and jerky walking
Can anyone suggest anything to make my walking smoother. I was dx in December and put onto increasing doses of sinemet 12.5/50 up to three tablets three times daily. I went onto the CR ones for a short while, but they didn't appear to suit me, so I am back on three tablets three times daily. I have

Need tips for weight gain
I would greatly appteciate suggestions for gaining weight. I am 68 years old and was diagnosed 6 years ago and have lost about four pounds a year. I take sinemet and an agonist which diminishes my appetite. Also more foods make me feel bloated so I avoid them. Also the protein restriction caused loss

Weak knees and collapse
Has anyone had their knees collapse and found a 'cure' or do I have to learn to live with it? I have had two collapses, six months apart, but it does destroy one's confidence. I was diagnosed with PD in December, but probably had it for at least two years before that. I am on eight sinemet (low dose)

Leg pain
Sometimes I have terrible leg pain in my left leg. It is so bad I cannot bear weight on it. I don't know if it is low dopamine or too much. I have tried adjusting my Sinemet and eating a banana every day, but at times I still have the pain. I do the Big and Loud therapy every day and am active. Does

Sinemet and Half-Sinemet
My rheumy has told me to take one Sinemet Prolongued Release 'with my breakfast' and one 'Half-Sinemet PR' in the afternoon. I take the first tablet at about 9 o'clock, but am not sure when to take the second one. Is 2 pm too early as I am afraid of forgetting it altogether if I leave it until later.

MORE FRUSTRATED
After spending a week in the hospital because my darling husband could not get out of bed unassisted and slid to the floor. Could not lift himself up and I am not strong enough to help him. Called 911 and they picked him up and tried to convince him to go to the hospital. He refused. This goes back about

What monthly blood tests should I have if I am on Sinemet?
I have a blood test due for my GCA and wondered if I should add anything else for my Parkinson's medication? I have been on increasing doses of Sinemet 12.5/50 for three months. I am currently on 2 three times daily.

Normal pressure hydrocephalus
Normal pressure hydrocephalus, has anyone asked about the similarities to the symptoms of PSP ? I have asked every doctor we have seen and they all dismiss it but given how similar the symptoms are I would like someone to at least consider the possibility ! P is getting worse by the day, mobility, falls

Meds -- phooey
I've taken just about everything and not only do the drugs not work, I feel like with each, I'm taking a "Parkinson's pill" that gives me all the PD symptoms and does nothing to help mitigate the ones I've already got. In recent days it was Artane. I went from having a pronounced tremor on my right side

Changed to madopar
My sister Rose is in final stage PSP and is now at risk of choking and is on a pureed diet and the nursing staff have had to remove her false teeth. Also have changed from sinemet tablet to madopar liquid and Rose remarkably has been communicating again! Able to answer us and even answered a question
