Serum parathyroid hormone
Finally, after a year of the labs refusing to test Vit D, I finally had it tested, and as suspected, it was below the bottom of the scale - 23. So back on tablets and spray, and hopefully my leg muscles will start working again... The lab refusing to test has made me ill...grumble, grumble. Anyway

Hyperparathyroidism and Bones
I had primary hyperthyroidism in 2014 with two adenomas removed. It's been a long time since I've had my PTH level checked. I was reading that you should have ongoing annual check-ups of calcium and PTH levels to detect any long-term changes or recurrence of hyperparathyroidism. I feel fine and don't

Could MCAS a possibility?
Hello everyone, I have been wondering for a while if I could have MACS. Last year I was diagnosed with a Raw Pecan allergy, borderline brazil and salami allergy through raw food skin to skin prick testing and given epi pens. My immunologist at the time did not want to risk it as I have asthma and

are CTx numbers supposed to be extremely under range while on prolia?
is that the point of anti resorptive? is P1NP supposed to be upper range on prolia, or lower range on prolia? my Mum's numbers are low. but the tests haven't been done for years, i don't think, and they were run within 3 months of prolia doses, so the ctx would be expected to be low? and Mum's

GP appointment update
I posted a few days ago and sadly had no replies! But anyway I had my GP appointment this morning. Explained everything that's been going on, showed her my test results, and her answer to that was i will probably develop an OVERactive thyroid eventually đ€Šđ»ââïž How she came to that conclusion I do

Who is confused? My surgery or me?
I was asked by the GP to remind him, when I reached 3mg in my tapering, that I should have a synacthen test. I have now done so. However, I am being sent for an ACTH blood test Is this the same thing (I don't think so as I have not been asked to miss the steroid dose and there is no indication that

I am taking synthroid (50 mg) for about 15 years.......after doing my own research there is an effect on bone density. My âthyroid journeyâ has been an interesting one and now approaching its 4th year. Iâm fairly convinced I donât have autoimmune thyroid disease and relatively confident my adrenals play a big part in my symptoms, however itâs not just adrenals as Iâve tested myself on HC solo and it doesnât work. Study to help patients manage their underactive thyroid
Just saw this and thought both that it is interesting it is being done. And, secondly, wondered if any would be willing to take part. I've scan read the information about the study and it appears that there is no geographical limit (please reply to let me know if I am wrong!) - just that you need to

Thyroid hormone and cortisol!
According to Paul Robinson in his book recovering with T3, he states that thyroid hormone and cortisol need to be considered together. Then he states that thyroid replacement can worsen cortisol insufficiency. It's on page 316. Then he States higher cortisol/effects reduce TSH and T4 to T3 conversion
