Gilenya Pill Treatment
My neurologist is thinking of putting me on
Gilenya
within the next month. I’ve read all of the possible side effects of the medication & of course now I am somewhat petrified 😬to take this medication. Is anyone on this medication & what was ur experience?

My introduction
Began taking
Gilenya
(aka Fingolimod) as soon as it was approved by FDA for release. Was on it until sometime in April 2018, and at my neurologist's recommendation, stopped taking it so I can begin on Ocrevus infusion therapy... Hopefully soon!!

Gilenya experience?
My neuro has now recommended
Gilenya
which I start on Friday. I have not seen much on this forum about this drug and was interested in any input from others on their experience. As with all the other meds, I am concerned about the side effects but need to make a change.

Drug options
He said if it's still rough the second time around, he may switch me to
gilenya
or aubagio....I'm wondering what the difference is in these meds or if anyone could share their experiences with them. Side effects, etc. thank you!

Living with MS
Now I'm on
Gilenya
and it seems to be working for me. My neurologist put me on Ampyra to help with my walking also. It seems that the Ampyra assistance program was terminated Dec. 31, 2017.

Osteoporosis and MS.
Hi everyone, Is anybody on Forsteo (osteoporosis) and
Gilenya
(starting this drug next week for MS) ? I am a bit apprehensive as
Gilenya
lowers your immune system and Forsteo carries a risk of bone cancer. I would like to know whether combining these 2 drugs is safe.

Really???
Some of those medicines come in pill form: Tecfidera and
Gilenya
...but many are infusions, meaning given through an IV: Ocrevus, Rebif. There is huge variety of medications that can help a person. Whichever one would suit you your neurologist will check with you first to see which you prefer.

Finally
It seems like forever that I have been waiting to try
Gilenya
.I hope it stops the progression I have been experiencing. I will have too go to Memphis which is 2 hours away. My husband had to take the day off to take me. That means one day less on his paycheck. Medicare really sucks.

Complications continue
Since I was first diagnosed in April I have been on two aggressive steroid treatments
gilenya
and received the first full dose of ocrevus. Felt good after the second dose of steroids but have been backsliding for a month or so.

Changing medicine
She says she will send it to
Gilenya
. I don't know who was to blame but I am so frustrated that someone is not doing their job. Now I will have to set appointment to take the first dose and I will have to go all the way to Memphis.
