I had my 3 MRI'S last week and they showed no active lesions. Since there aren't any new or active lesions they don't know why I am having more problems walking. He wants to change my medication to Gilenya. Any info on it people can give me on it will be helpful. Also do any have info on assistance programs for those on Medicare with the co-pay.

cljones - No answers but I am having the same problem. My walking is getting worse. The brain MRI done about a month ago showed things were the same. Tomorrow I'm having my spine done. (Why, oh why didn't they do it all at the same time! That contrast burns!) I've been told it could even be a pinched nerve. So tomorrow is the MRI and next week Wed. is the follow up appt. We shall see. I think there are things they cannot see from an MRI. I've read that the grey matter in brains is also affected but the MRI's only show the activity in the white matter.

I had the same thing week before last. Had brain MRI done and no new lesions. Now having c spine done Sat. With follow up Sept 5th. But my walking continues to get worse. But my Neuro wanted to know why I didn't have both done at the same time. Of course it was blamed on MRI schedulers. I wanted to know why to being it's 80 miles each way. I'm in physical therapy Now for my walking. Def tells me that MRI s don't show everything for sure. Good luck to all.
