Gilenya Pill Treatment

My neurologist is thinking of putting me on Gilenya within the next month. I’ve read all of the possible side effects of the medication & of course now I am somewhat petrified 😬to take this medication. Is anyone on this medication & what was ur experience?

I was in gilenya for 1 1/2 years. Unfortunately, it wasn't effective for me. But, I have a friend that had been on it for 7 years and had only had one exacerbation. I took the precautions of having a skin and eye check every 4 months. It's easy to take and well tolerated by most.

I thought that drug only came out about 1-2 years ago. The PML side effect scares me.

Looks like it was approved in 2010. (Agreed with PML scare)
