Has anyone had an orchiectomy and if so how were your side effects and how is your life after the Big O.I'm scheduled to start Full Pelvic Radiation in 6 weeks but fear the long term side effects. Prior to beginning trial last June I had just gone castrate resistant and PSA was at 3.3. A few weeks after the last of four injections PSA settled in at .25 so there was still something left. However PSA now has quickly shot up to .75 And since I stopped Orgovyx and Zytiga, Testosterone is going up

not diagnosed yet but need pain tips
Hi can anyone give me any tips on dealing with pain please? I’m on a years waiting list now with a gyno to check for endo and ando. I may be going on to HRT soon for the peri menopause. I’ve tried different pain killers, exercise, meditation and mint tea. Nothing works. The pain is only 5 days

HOrmone Replacement Therepy
I have wondered for a while whether men also lose hormones as they age and whether patches would be beneficial. I am a complete layman, so may be talking rubbish . I read on one post that Parkinsons can give people hot flushes, so this got me thinking. Have there been any studies please?

Vacation from ADT
I searched but only came up with vacations at two years or so. I had a meeting with my MO today. He is conservative but suggested I could stop the meds. I was complaining of brain fog. He said to stop the Abi for about three weeks to see if there is any improvement and if not, stop Lupron. My story

ADT and bone health
I am 79 in exceptional physical condition. I have been on ADT after radical Prostatectomy for over 14 months and to date aside from the sexual libido loss I have had very little side effects. I have always been a health / exercise buff & continue to exercise everyday to maintain my mental & physical

Treatment Update IMRT with ADT 18 months later
Follow up 18 months later. I am due for another ADT injection in December. Spoke to the Urologist and he feels 18months is enough keeping with the European standard while the Oncologist would like me to stay the course and do the full 2 years. I am in favor of 18 months also, that would be nice. Still

Genomic testing
Who benefits from genetic testing and when? Is it mainly when someone becomes castrate resistant and or metastatic that they recommend it? Or is there value in doing it ahead of things while one is castrate sensitive? Had RP and then salvage radiation with 6 months ADT. 1st lab after.. T of 25 and undectable

Questions about progesterone and prostate cancer
My onco continues to resist prescribing low dose E2 to help minimize some of my ADT SEs. Following my last appointment he suggested progesterone as an alternative. - Has anybody here had success with using progesterone while on ADT? - Any reasons to steer clear of progesterone? Thanks

New treatment for Parkinson
Has anybody tried LENs Biofeedback?, it is a relatively new and non invasive therapy to Parkinson to improve parkinson's symptoms like tremors and bradykinesia.

Zolodex and HRT
hi there, my diagnosis is very new and I’ve just had my first zolodex injection this afternoon. I was also given HRT patches containing oestrogen which I’ve put on. But I’m confused as the zolodex surely stoped oestrogen production so why have I been put on patches that give it back? Surely it will counteract

How to convince your GP a suppressed TSH is ok?
For years I’ve had a suppressed TSH following a trial of T3 probably 5 years ago which didn’t work and I haven’t taken it for around 4 years (need to check my records for exact dates). My GP has always been fine with it, and even the rubbish NHS endo agreed it would take time to recover - or as I know

Low cortisol but within normal nhs range
I have had 2 blood cortisol tests at 9am 1st one was 133 nmol/L and the 2nd one was 233 nmol/L . CT and Bone Scan 2 weeks after PSMA PET?
Note:
for reference, my dad lives in BC, Canada. I believe the system here is a bit different than the US - we have a urologist who refers us to the RO when needed. Therefore, there is no relationship between the urologist and RO - the RO is part of the cancer institute, but the urologist is not

Post-ADT, does one's ability to maintain weight get better?
This is for those lucky ones whose treatment has reached the point where their PCa is not active and ADT has ended. Does the ability to maintain a healthy weight get better? How long after?

Clinical Trial Considerations??
I’ve been presented with a clinical trial and I’m open to feedback. Background: I’m 71 and in pretty good health. I was diagnosed with two Gleason 6 lesions in late 2021 and went on AS. At that point, PSA was in the low 4’s. Earlier this year, PSA rose to 6.7. MRI and guided biopsy uncovered one Gleason

Hashimotos?
I have had elevated TSH for about 10 years and my GP did not seem very keen to do anything. I got a monitor my health test on the 12/9/23 and advanced thyroid check with Medichecks on the 11/10/23. The results are below and I would really appreciate any support. I have booked an appointment with one
